can one of you kind people please rate my imperial guard army please.

Command squad: senior officer and 4 guardsmen, morter, master-vox, melta gun,power sword.105 pts.

infantry platoon: command squad: junior officer and four guardsmen,vox,grenade launcher,lasguns,power sword, plasma pistol.
squad 1: lascannon,vox,flamer, vtrn sgt
squad 2: vox,flamer, vtrn sqt
265 pts

armourd fist squad:vox, grenade launcher,vtrn sgt, chimera.149pts

10 man storm trooper squad:grenade launcher, flamer.114pts

sentenal 1:autocannon 50pts
sentenal 2:lascannon 55 pts

lemon russ tank:hull mounted lascannon,heavy bolter side sponsoons,track guards, pintel mounted heave stubber.187 pts

TOTAL : 925 PTS

Personally, I wouldn't put a mortar with a melta gun. The mortar needs to be kept still, and with it being a guess weapon you can hide it behind cover. If you do this, you can also drop the senior officer - get a junior and give him the Honorifica Imperialis if you need the Ld boost.

Nothing wrong with this.

squad 1: lascannon,vox,flamer, vtrn sgt


You're mixing a long range heavy with a short range assault weapon - bad idea. Make your squads have a single role - either long range fire support, or short range and ready to tie up enemy units close range.

265 pts

I wouldn't bother with the lascannon, and would probably drop the sponsons and pintle weapon too. A Leman Russ is most effective dropping ordnance - and if you're doing that every turn, you can't fire any other weapons. If you lose the battlecannon then you'll still have a heavy bolter on the hull. Plus it frees up points to use elsewhere - IG needs plenty of men on the ground.

So you still have a whole 75pts to spend even with the above list?? Why not use it?

I can heartily recommend a Hellhound - with a bit of switching around, you should have enough points to be able to field one. Or maybe a Hardened Veterans squad, and add another infantry squad to your platoon.

Squad1: grenade launcher,lascannon,vtrn sqt,vox
Squad2:flamer,vox,vtrn sgt.287pts


armourd fist squad: vox,flamer,vtrn sqt,chimera extra armour,track guards,rough terrain modifacation smoke launchers :110pts

10 man karskin squad 2xflamer:112pts

sentenal1:autocannon:50pts
sentinal2:lascannon:55pts

hellhound:115pts

lemon russ:hull heavy bolter,track guards:155pts

TOTAL:989pts pts
