Hi, i haven't played Eldar since 2nd ed. your list seems quite solid. I'm a bit puzzled by the inclusion of such a big fire dragon unit, would it not be better to have a unit of six mounted in the falcon? you could then take some rangers for their disruption capabilities, or maybe more dire avengers?

they still Infiltrate, which can disrupt your opponents deployment, and they cause Pinning and can hurt vehicles, which can disrupt your opponent's army midgame. ;)

IMO itd be easier to do a fluffy Alaitoc list, all those sniper rifles.

The list is good but like previously mentioned it would be better to get a squad of 6 in a falcon to perhaps flank those pesky troop carriers.

Ok. Well he looks cheaps and cheerful. However thats all he looks like. He'll get a decent amount of attacks, but at strength 3, He's not exactly frightening.

Elites

Fire dragon squad “the torchers”:10 fire dragons, fusion guns, melta bombs, including Exarch Selum with firepike, melta bombs, tank hunters: 195 pts

Oh god please tell me that they arn't walking? They will get wasted by every dev squad that can drw L.O.S. I'd cut it down to 6 put them in the falcon and give the Exarch the dragons breath with crack shot. Fire dragons should not really need tank hunter.

Howling banshee squad “the screamers” 10 howling banshees, power weapons, shuriken pistols, including Exarch Frelus with executioner, war shout, wave serpent
“the bringer of death” shuriken cannon, twin missile launchers, vectored engines:

Banshee's are ok! However you might find that they tend to bounce off marines a bit. The best way to get the most out of a banshee squad is a farseer with doom! Very handy. Oh and get rid of the missile launcher and get a proper weapon! Brightlance for tank hunting, or T/L Scatter or Shuriken cannon, good for infantry and tanks side armour!

Troops

Dire Avenger squad “the shredders” 10 Dire Avengers, avenger shuriken catapults, including Exarch Tush with 2 shuriken catapults, bladestorm: 152 pts

I've had so many arguements over these guy's. I really love D/Avergers, but damn they suck! Simple maths, Even with blade storm, on average these guy's wont even be able to kill 6 marines! Good against guard (but so is a stiff breeze) they will struggle to make their points back especially if they are walking!

Guardian squad “the tormentors” 20 guardians, shuriken catapults, scatter laser, 1 warlock, rune armour (4+) shuriken pistol, singing spear, embolden:
208 pts

I think 20 might be a few to many. Cut this squad down to 11 + warlock (just to give it an even number) but all else looks good. Embolden is a good choice, just stick them in a wood.

Fast attack

Vyper squad “Death from above” 3 Vypers, shuriken cannon, shuriken cannon: 180 pts

good weapons choice, just dont take 3! Always an even number.

Heavy support

Falcon “Khains fist” shuriken cannon, scatter laser, pulse laser, holo field, spirit stones: 185 pts

Fire prism “Khains fury” prism cannon, twin shuriken catapults, holo field: 150 pts

These are good, but if you are going to take 1 prism you really should take 2 so they can combine fire!

Hope this helps a bit!
