Is this with the old codex? Beacuse if it's with the new, you really need to read it again - Death Company form 1 single unit, you cannot have a Chaplain with is own DC unit anymore, and you have to give them all jump packs - you can't have some with and some without. And finally, you can't have more than 10 DC unless you have more than 10 squads that DC members can be drawn from.

New Codex

And you are correct. I was simply indicating the model is the old Death Company Chaplain and I plan to paint as such and most likely attach during play due to the rule on them if you have no Chaplain nearby. However he is a seperate unit and an HQ choice. Also I only have 7 figures, so the great than 10 rule doesn't apply to me.

But to answer you question, I will be using the new rules completly.

Ah, I see, the 10 marine with packs between the Chaplain and DC is a not a DC squad. It would have helped if you'd named them appropriately - are they a Veteran Assault Squad, or just an Assault Squad?

Spack, You are correct. My bad. I actually didnt indicate Vet or not as they as of yet have only been base coated red. So I really can do either. The weapons have been indicated though. Additionally I could do 1 Vet 5 man and 1 regular 5 man AS if needed. I was trying to leave it a general as possible for you all to make suggestions.

The Terminators:
Are you planning on using them as Deep Strike/Teleport or Vehicle mounted?
My experience of CC Terminators has not been that good, however I'm stuck with Drop Pods or Land Raider options.
I found the CC Terminators tend to get shot up fairly quickly, so are they your proffered choice or would playing it safe with a standard mix of heavy weapons be "safer"?

Actually I screwed up on my termis. As it turns out the BA termis can ONLY be close combat OR Stormbolter and pFist (with a single Heavy weapon in the unit). As I modeled my guys(old metal figures) with a mixture like the DA codex allows, I am now not legal. I have purchased a second cc squad and think I am going to just create 2 CC units. At this point I just don't know what it best for the weapons. I have the following CC available to me:

6 sets of Lightning Claws
7 sets of Thunder Hammers and Shields.

So I really can make any mix almost. I was thinking of doing 3 LC and 2 TH in each, but what do you all think? I can also be swaed to a 3 TH and 2 LC if needed also.

I have the Land Raiders for carrying them into combat, and in a pinch can make some simple drop pods to use if necessary I guess.

I have a game coming up with some frend in a couple weeks though, so I really need to pick a direction and start going that way.

Okay, if you're going to stick with CC Terminators, then I would personally go with 3 Lightning Claw and 2 Thunder Hammer/Storm Shield.
That's the combo I used against some Tau Battlesuits recently, and I had great fun

Sounds good. I was actually thinking this myself. Now I just have to figure out the modelling part. Stupid older metal Seargent and his poorly designed arm placement. Oh well.. We will be fun to convert.. Maybe I will have him use the TH and make him wield it Left Handed instead of the normal righ hand. Might be different enough.

Thanks again for your suggestions Algeroth.

Well I finished modeling. Need to prime and base coat and will have to publish pics. I think everything turned out good. I decided to go with the LCs for the Sergeants. 3 LC and 2 TH for each unit. Now I just have to finagle my list the best way to support them and the rest of my stuff.

Anyone willign to make a couple suggestions on a 1000, 1500, 2000, or even a 2500 point list. I shoudl have nearly 2500 points total. I guess I can always sub in figures from my grey knight units as temp figures if needed.
