well i took the evidence of the pot to the guy i bought it from (across the border in Spain) He replaced the glue pot (not too bad considering it was half full when it dropped) I also explained what happened, in a humorous storyline type way and he gave me a few paint brushes as a sort of compensation, HAPPY DAYS :P

He doesnt actually stock models, its more of a lady's craft shop, so not to bad in the end, better than a kick in the nads! or glue ;P

It sounds like he tried to do the right thing by you boris! Couldn't replace what was damaged, but he did replace the damaged item (glue pot) and compensate you with some merchandise. Sounds like a good businessman!

Notice, not just the Capt, but also the Sgt :P also the SM Capt has a eldar power sword, I read Warrior Brood, so i thought y not, also given the Mentors background of weapons testers etc.

Im planning on doing the FW vindicator next for this lot, when my akurian filters for my BB eventually turn up ill get that done for my Mars Reg :D

anyway thanks guys!

Another Idea for the Mentors List (roughly)

HQ (Chapter Master + Honour guard) Made up to give a big CC hit

Troops : Possibly 2x5 man tac squads, 1x 10 man for the messy objs.

Elites : Some Vet warriors (being mentors and that not termies tho), thunderfire

Heavy Support: Vindicator, Dreads

I have just done this from rush memory so i prob wrong but u get the idea, I dont want a CC orientated army (i have BA) how ever i want the punch..HQ!! then Vets and heavy tech to fit with the Mentors (i may even try master of the forge...depends how his CC runs, might do some tests)

So am i going on the right track (1500pts) also, any suggests that would be a SM must have i have missed?

Wow so much in so many places in this thread :) (your morphing into me)
I like the marines- nice and conrasty (I can't pick up the subtleties of the white but thats probably because of jpegs removing whites or something :)
If your taking loads of sternguard etc..then it really is worth having noted down what I briefly said in the new sm armylists thread.. Given them heavy weapons may seem at first glance strange.. but 2 lascannons costs less than it does for the comparitive devastator squad.. plus if you take the full 10 man you have the choice of having 1 in 5 (resilient gunline) or 2 in 5 and 5 with normal weapons..for manuvering and taking the most advantage of special ammo.
Dreads are elites and thunderfire is heavy but I get the idea ;)
If your going for 5 man troops are you going meq? If so take a razorback or a combi melta or something so they can have a specific battlefield roll (if its just for contesting objectives to annoy and frazzle oppoents I'd suggest scouts with cloaks)
Barely even lurking..

They look sexy!

I'm definately puting some Mentors in my next marine army. Once I've finished Chaos Space Marines, IG Blitzkrieg, Witchhunter mk2... Damn you GW, damn you to hell!

You need to start dipping your stuff Ljundhammer :) Speed "painting" and varnishing all in one go.

lol, it only works for me, i find im very here and there with the painting, so my hobby desk has plenty of half way projects not finished which leads to everything being half done and nothing finished,

So now I have the hobby desk for that purpose and a hobby "tray" as such (mobile :P ) in which i have a rough list of models i want done before the next meet up, so i work through them and when the need for something else creeps into my mind i hit the desk :D

So far ive actually got through the bulk of my Apocalypse army for the meet-up!

thats how i do it...however doesnt always work :P

Im interested in thsi dipping, is ti just really watering down the paint then "dipping" the model then letting it dry?? whats the results like?
