Cor blimey and lorks a lordy, I thought I'd break the habit of a bathtime and write an army list!
Quick, punchy and difficult to get to grips with, hopefully.

Farseer, bike.
10 avengers, serpent, bright lances.
10 avengers, serpent, bright lances.
6 bikes, inc 2 scannons.
6 bikes, inc 2 scannons.
7 rangers.

6 dragons.

Falcon, starcannons, holo-field.
Prism, holo-field.
Prism, holo-field.

Its pretty tooled up, ranged anti-tank wise.
The new prism rules make it a real work-horse for anti-tank and meq/hoard zapping.
I have objective sitters in the rangers and grabbers with the avengers and bikes.
Troops might get a bit overworked though.

The dragons in the falcon are a real teq butcher and the seer on bike should be handy for shennanigans annoying scannon sniping.

I can't really see much use for exarchs now, tbh.

Is the web actually GW under another name trying to convince everyone that spending another £30 to get a good army.

Oh no, just that single page thats floating around thats just like 3rd/4th ed.. Collect the right piece of paper and your list is a billion times better with no downside.
Eldar codex chapter addons are what the public want... (which is not what I or the last 5 years of design peeps want).
More fool you if you pay for the other X number of pages chudded out with outdated cities of death strategemia.

What, the book or the list?

I expanded this out to a 3000 point list (our "normal" weekend game scale) and it looks like an utter pig of a thing. So-much so, that it concerns me, tbh.
As an aside, I totted up the (sort of) equivalent from the old codex.
Not only is the new list stronger, with added usr's/battle focus and bs4 bonus, admittedly, I wouldn't have taken some of them, had they cost, but with savings from not needing so many exarchs and the like, it came to about 350 points cheaper. 8O

So when are you going to field it, and when do we see batreps.I'm so far away from playing against eldar it might actually be a whole codex that just slips me by..(not that I paid much attention to sisters or tau.. just games involving a "they do what now??")

the evil plan of language slip 'being able to field more models' = 'cheaper' (although i totally get what you mean the GW spybots of the world are doing this right now)

KMB i know what you. Just got the new HE book the other day and most things have got cheaper, not managed to put a list together yet to compare it to my old list but will do that over the next few days to see. Of course this is coupled with a general rise in prices of models. Cynical marketing ploy or what!
