missed this post before we left. Phil I'm sure those tanks of urs only had two colours on them... and what made u pick bright red and blue for them?

Nope - I'll have to take a close up photo - you will find that there is 4 colours on each tank.
With the Chimeras I painted the name plate on the side under the Lasgun ports
Plus on the rear and the right awnings I painted the Squadron colours and Tank Number.

But overall - I like a simple colour scheme, previous Chimeras had been painted up as Valhallan with a winter white\Green camo but I did not like it.

Then I started re-painting my Mordian Guard to be used as a Genestealer Cult Brood Brothers - so Blue (Jacket)and Purple (Helmet).
So decided to paint the whole of my Tank Company and Baneblades the same colour (Blue\Purple)

When it came to re-do my Catachan, I did not want to go with the Green camo and was planning on going to a GW Campaign weekend doing Cityfight and so was born the Martian Defence Force (Red).

As you noted in the game they need a little more work.

Had planned on doing 3 Vendettas but ran out of time.

Im going to be using my whole Armoured Force for my 40th Birthday Bash - will have to take a picture of the whole lot and post it up.

You might want to consider a dip for your troops, but Matt J would be better qualified to comment on dipping.
