So, while twiddeling my thumbs and looking at the Valkyrie kit I started on the idea of mixing a cookie cutter AirCav MeltaVets force with some interesting background, which I'll post in the 40K Background/Fluff & Black Library. And please don't be gentle, I want a watertight force to offset my Grey Knights who can only ever win the Look Cool On The Side Of The Table contests.

The Vendettas are the same price as the Valkyries with MRPs so I can mix and match them as much as needed (magnets and Forge World for the win). Powerfists give me a bit of punch, I figured they were worth it as they are only 5 points more than Power Weapons, double my strength and at I3, my Vets would be going last against most things anyway. IMO power weapons are overprices in the Guard Codex, but I am digressing. MRPs on the Valks mean I can move them 12" and pagger horde/infantry formations with Str4 pieplates. Vendettas fill a gap in my army (long range anti armour/heavy infantry) and should be reliable against anything up to AV12. I went Shotguns instead of lasguns as I figure I will be up close and personal much of the time.
