Congratulations, it won't be long before your little offspring will be facing off against you across a gaming table.
I got into 40K just about when my son was born, he is now 15 and mauls my SW on a regular basis with his IG :x

As it has been said the padewan is now more powerful than the master

im always of the opinion, if your gonna do it, do it right!

however, my BA companies are organised as per the dex. The entire idea of fluff is to give you the idea in which you can build upon, company's chop and change, also i'm sure i've read most BA are JP trained, therefore 2 of the tac squads can re-role into assault troops.

Trying to find where i read this!

in essence, do what you want, my BA formations are undergoing a change (on paper atm) and will become the Angelic Host having units painted in differ BA chapters under one army list :) (Angelic Host is a force called up by Dante in times of great need)

Congrats, cain!

But, before following a certain fellows advice, I would do some research, re the effects of electrocution on the very young.
Also, do it on someone elses computer, that "I was doing research excuse will NOT WORK."

Arrrg..I had to look it up, its probably elsewhere but here are some references
Bloodangels codex quotes
p25 Assualt squads form the core. Most blood angels graduate to assualt after scouts.
Hot headed young bloods, when they mature on to devs and tacticals.. All BA are ninja at aerial, a blood angel considers a jump pack an extension of their normal form etc
It says they follow normal company make up but everyone is so skilled with jump packs that unlike others they are never beneath full strength.
p27 sternguard are always outnumbered by vanguard (on how 1st comp is arranged)
Barely even lurking..

I have no doubt, lol. I already told my wife I am going to be encouraging him/her down the hobby route. Building blocks > Lego > 40k (or eqiv), lol. Of cause I wouldn't pressure them if they don't want to.

I've also had this thought. You don't even have to say they have been called up under Dante. They could all simply turn up after recieving the same Call to Arms/Aid. And on arrival the simple fall the lead of the senior commander. (Providing of cause that it doesn't contradict any standing orders.)
