I think your right tho as there are a lot of places online saying its the deceiver so im wondering if they changed the fluff or both were involved in some way?

Ok after reading a few posts online and going through the codex it appears the Deceiver tricked the Nightbringer into eating C'tan and the LG tricked the Outsider..

It says the Deceiver also betrayed the Nightbringer to his enemies so from this I'd say they do actually hate eachother..
