Dawn of war/bases (/draw game) opponent elects to go first
Game went fast
Turn 1 stuff turns up, nightfight nothing happens
Turn 2 He ruins both of my slaughterfiends.I say its over because footslogging khorne vs 3 plasma cannons (let alone the rest) is dead but we carry on.
My dogs turn up from the far too early icon and hide behind some rocks, my raptors
DS beside the landraider (*just* 4" bloody scatter) pop landraider. Berserkers advance, 1 squad over building 1 squad around heap. Relevant picture
Turn 3He shoots everything he has at my raptors (who through a few bits of wrapping actually manage to stay alive, he batters the berserker squad holding my objective). Charges the raptors kills them.
My khorne lord starts the uphill run against the devastators (as I think that zerks and dogs can hold the left).Dogs make it into the squad in the woods (=int1, =s killed before they can hurt anything) Berserkers charge squad that is in ruins of landraider= overkill left in the middle of no-mans land. (1 defiler is immobilised and battle cannon destroyed the other is a wreck)
Turn 4 he violates my berserkers left stranded.(bloody stupid all or nothing khorne)(and the ones on my objective.
Takes a few shots with long tooths at the khorne lord but the instant death stuff pings off his 5+ (thinking of which wearing termie armour I should have passe dthis on a 2+ but never mind I passed and lost a wound to a plasma cannon no harm done).
My khorne lord gets 13 power weapon attacks on 5 long fangs..-dead.
(for those wondering..I didn't take out the dread because even with baragashs furious charge paid for I was still only str 5 against av 12).
His Turn 5.. Wussy McWussypants tries to blag that the latest faq says that templates can't scatter back onto friendly units (I refuse this statement vehemently..unless I can read the print out)..He decides rather than charging in (with a vehicle I cannot hurt) to shoot me with a storm bolter for less risk. 200 point khorne lord dies in Ignominy from a bolter to the face.
I have oblits, 1beserker (the skull champion) he has 3 dreadnoughts, predator, 9 greyhunters and rune priest.
IIRC I call it at the start of my turn 5, although might have been different.

Mid games match opponents request.I have to make up 500 points on the hoof so quickly sketch out 5 long tooth 4 missile, 2 HF MM tornado, 5 greyhunter melta in razorback and my first attempt at a lonewolf (termie armour

Stunty wants to check out
DE so brings out 2x10 wychs an archon and 3 super bikes.
Lone wolf goes off to tie up one squad on right, tornadoes (zoom up to beside left wychs) and missiles batter the left wychs with archon..his bikes zoom over everything to sit beside my long tooths.(do some damage by zooming)..I bring all the grey hunter bolters and long tooths to bear on bikes (kills them).
He brings on some shooty that doesn't do much, I heavy flamer left hand squad till only the archon (very badly burned) is left.. Lonewolf is doing well tieing up right hand squad.
Shot archon kill him, apply fire to right hand squad once lone wolf goes down rince and repeat.
Suggest transports.
2nd game- Oo emm Gee,controversy. I suggest a rematch of game 1 but dropping lord of skulls 1 oblit and 1 beserkers would give me 2 flying demon princes (fire magnets that mean that the slaughterfiends and their cargo will arrive).. Stunty doesn't fancy that.
I have my nurgle army, but struggle against 1 landraider let alone a swarm of dreads on top- look into swapouts, but he doesn't have any other models.. so it has to go ahead.

Game mission, quarters bases.I opt for him to go first. He deploys long tooth up front rest protected round back screened(/bubble wrapped) by preds and dreads.
One
DP scatters on long tooths (put into delayed). Epi and squad land in my quarter hiding behind building with objective.
Total death? 1 long tooth sergant, 2 grey hunters.
Turn 2 He batters a bunch of wounds from my big stuff.
Flamers turn up, land on dreadnought misplaced to far corner. Great unclean one turns up safely in middle of table to hoof it to assist
DPs.Delayed
DP turns up behind a dreadnought but does nothing.
1 Dp immobilises the landraider, 1 takes an arm off a rifleman and annihilates the predator.
His turn, tries to JOTWW from inside a landraider my
GUO, I have minor huff (surrounded by GT folks asking me how "physic" powers work,where the
DS rules are, and whether you are still locked in combat if opponent is an
MC) ..and I just have to go with vague memory that wolf faq says jaws is shooting power) Stunty accepts my vague recollection as canon..(handy as it turns out I was correct).Climbs out and wipes all 5 wounds from my
GUO with one guy doing the happy elves dance.Kills of my demon princes. (bum).
My plaguebearers turn up..scatter onto a tau building.I start placing, opponent suggests it might be impassable (gah hung by a terrain protocol error again)..I suggest as a building it might have been covered by our definition of the 2 regular buildings, opponent disagrees, this one is slippy. So I role on disruption table (displaced to different far corner).3rd final plaguebearer squad do exactly the same and end up in the same far away corner.(WTF???)
Nurglings turn up in silly place off table centre (8" scatter for them too).. run to avoid plasma death. Flamers move up to support epi, epi spreads out to avoid JOTWW killing everything.
Turn 5 ish..
His turn moves towards objective whilst shooting nurglings behind them. Speeder appears on my objective (grr).
Nurglings(5 remian) assault rune priest and grey hunters, lose horribly but one guy with one wound stays (keeping them from advancing towards my objective or JOTWWing everything).
Flamers jump forwards get an immobilised result on the speeder and claim its dead(due to going fast), stunty claims cover save p71, I do quick brain check and manage to state with authority "nada, flamer template, no cover "(p29)....Phew.***silly raw argument I didn't bring up see below
Turn 6
His dreadnought moves up, his
IC and troop break free from nurgling tarpit in table middle ,move up doing minimal damage.
My flamers take one for the team fly over dreadnought and assault him from behind..don't do any damage but also take none.Tarpitting his advance to contest..if there was going to be a turn7.
Dice roll, there isn't game ends draw.
Fun Games. Any emotive griping or rabble rousing was just put in to inject some excitement into the prose.
I am kicking myself over missing that terrain piece off my checklist, and 3 displaced 1 delayed and 4 scatters....I keep having to tatoo on my head that I hate demons.
**silly raw-no cover saves "for wounds"...so vehicles do get cover saves against flamers? p29 BRB Just a troll question but can someone counter it?
