Sisters vs Eldar

I've gone for something a little different this time. Not only is this the first time I've used Battle Chronicler for a bat-rep, I've also gone and done the whole thing as a
PDF as an experiment for the much-touted-but-as-yet-unseen AoS regular bat reps.
I can't get high enough to take a single picture of my table for the background of the maps so it's all pieced together using individual terrain components (I've now got pictures of most of my
40K scenery). There are also some things I still need to figure out in the program (like how to add terrain mid game... I needed a crater but couldn't add one!)
I expect the
PDF format to evolve but it's a start. Let me know what you think.

Great start! Looks very good Matt, I like the way you formatted it. Having the text with the battle chronicler makes it easy to follow and having the pictures from the end of each turn is a nice touch. Really shows off cool terrain and nicely painted minis!
Instead of trying to make the crater a terrain piece, you'd probably have to put it into battle chronicler as a marker. I'm still trying to figure out how to do that. If I figure it out I'll let you know!

I thought that might be what you had to do but I also need it as a terrain peice and had hoped not to have to make it twice.
EDIT - yes create it as a marker (or "special") and have a zero thickness border. Also set it to last more than one turn! I'll know now for next time.

I went into Battle Chronicler, selected edti and components.
I highlighted "Crater A 5" then clicked on 'Copy'.
I named it "Crater Marker", put it in Category:Markers and Theme:Standard
I made the Type:Symbol and left everything else the same for now.
For Image File: used 'extended\bc_crater_A.png'
I haven't tried placing it in a batrep yet, will give it a go later, but it seems to have worked so far.
Let me know if this did it.

Excellent stuff. One point: you need an inquisitor to take an assassin. I couldn't see if you made an exception anywhere in the text.

Pretty much what I tried already except for the copy bit

Do you? OK, I'll tell Andy then. He only just got the book and the army (bought from Paul) so is new to all of it.

Love the Report - very professionally done and easy to read and understand.
As to 'Assassin', yep you need an Inquisitor to allow them to be used.
Same as you need a Priest to be able to use Penitant Engines or Acro-flagelants

Looks great matt - loving the scenery. The images are clear and the movement kept dynamic. You do however have WAY too much time on your hands!

@Matt - seeing as how I don't have Adobe Acrobat (just can't justify the cost, only have reader) how would I do the same type of batrep?

I don't have it either!
I creaetd it in PowerPoint 2007 and then used the "save as pdf" option (free download from microsoft for office 2007 (and probably 2010 but I've not installed that yet))

Have downloaded it and had a quick skim through.
Terrain is themed really nicely, love the chapel/temple and colonade thing.
Will check it out this evening!
