2k of Cleanse & Purify Relictors versus 2k of my Dark Angels.

Deployment snaffu:
I'd placed my Vindicator behind the only building in my deployment zone that offered LoS blocking from his first Dev. Crew (2 LCs & 2 MLs).

Then, he places his second devastator squad and I realise my mistake. The Vin can get hit turn 1.

Fearing for my speeders and 2 dreads, I placed them *directly* behind this building ensuring survival for turn 1.

Dusk came up on the mission roll, so I breathed a sigh of relief, believing my Vindicator would make it to turn 2 because he wouldn't be able to get LoS.

Not needed with FotA. With all of those units parked behind the only building that would block LoS, he turns his Codicier's Fury of the Ancients lose. It hits a couple troop units and the Vindicator. The FotA hits the Vin fully on its side.

My opponent rolls the glance and comes up with a 5 to immobilize the Vindicator in the corner, utterly useless, too far distant, for the rest of the game.

The libby's damned FotA brought down 2 speeders and about 6 SMs throughout the game. Pinned two units of mine.

Before the game, I'd made a last minute decision to switch out *my* libby for a dread. No psychic hood to stop his pysker and the dread I brought in hid from las cannons and did little else.

Game was a tie. I know I deployed and played poorly. Grrr.
