6th ed

Postby Ljundhammer » Mon Apr 30, 2012 8:11 am

What the hell is going on?

Does anyone really know? I've read the rumours of randomness for psychic powers and a whole psychic phase on BOLS, for which I've tried to find a Picard picture big enough, but failed.

My only snippet of rumour which I believe is that it'll be out by 4th July (from a chap I know).

I'm hoping this doesn't go the way of 8th...

I've not heard anything. I've tried to ignore any "leaks" as either wish listing or early playtest stuff that will confuse me if I read it now.

I just rolled my eyes at that rumour and prayed they wouldn't be that stupid.

I was at WHW last Tuesday and asked about 6th to a member of staff in the store. They said as far as they knew, its bogus. Just rumour and speculation. Not even being worked on. But also added that they aren't told anything any more anyway.

Given that WHW staff lied to my face when I was looking to buy a librarian there this time last year*, their only motivation is to not confirm anything that isn't meant to be public knowledge yet - co what they said is worth squat.

*High Easter demand was the reason for their stock out.... no, running stocks down as it was a month before "finecast" was released was the reason.

I only know what I read on various sites. Bell of Lost Souls links to a few sites that keep talking about 6th edition.

It seems that it is in the offing, will probably be released this year and the July rumor keeps popping up.

There was that "leaked" version that went around the webs for a time, but it was beyond bizarre.

I agree with Matt that the "leaks" and many rumors are just that, and will only serve to confuse everyone.

My only hope about 6th edition (if and when it arrives) is that is settles many issues that are confusing or unclear in the current ruleset.

But I'm not too confident that that will happen, given the way GW writes their rules.

We'll just have to wait and see.

That's fair enough Baragash. Just thought I'd share. To be honest, I am not getting worked up about it. I'll expect 6th when I see it. And only then will I worry about how they've no doubt buggered stuff up.

Store staff are kept ignorant. They are fed lies, or they are left to invesnt their own reasons for things, I wouldn't blame them too much.

I AM stoked for 6th, and I damned well want to play it NOW! It had really better not be crap...
