A Note to all AoSers

Postby lostandthedamned » Sun May 16, 2010 9:00 pm

Just got back from yet another awesome Tempus Fugatives Weekend Campaign.
Terra was held and the Warmaster repulsed.

Tickets have just gone on sale for the next event in September, The Scourging.
Only 120 places available, and at least 6 of us from Armageddon Inc should be there.

Any one else who fancies a great gaming weekend make sure to order a ticket soon as they tend to only take a few weeks to sell out.

I might have to look into this next year, I really need to start painting and playing a lot more games first. Plus AotE IV is the same weekend as my daughter's birthday so I wouldn't make this one anyway.

Next year we have heard that they may moving to 4 events (3 40k & 1 warhammer).
Certainly either in May or September they will be starting the Age of the Apostacy.

Vandir's Reign of Blood anyone?

NOTE: Problem with TF website is not showing Imperial Tickets

Just click on the Eldar Ticket and then use navigation bar to move to Imperial Ticket - 45 available.

Stupid question...
I've seen iceman and others blogs.Socially+/rules, does stuff have to be in theme and beautifully modelled and painted per era/event and stuff. Or can you just have the GW basic (GT) 3 colours a bit shabby but friendly and still attend..whats the general vibe? I just get the impression the thing runs to a slightly higher standard of painty modelly-ness than I could achieve.(KMB truly the worst painter on this site(king has previously told me to burn my models) )

(I’ll start the annual litany of fugits, “I shall join their website, I shall join their website, I shall join their website,”)

I wonder if Ljundhammer is up for this.. The GT is dead to him now its lost its final, maybe big theme games might give him a new direction?

3 colours minimum is accepted and minimum, though more is appreciated. We saw everything that ran the gamut from a barely 3 colours army (though every model was individually converted) getting marked down campaign points, up to the 13 shortlisted for best army (2 from our club yay). (fully converted Exodites won again, He has now made and painted this army twice just so he can win the best army again...)

There were some armies i'd be embaressed to put on a table even if they are technically correct.

The main point though is to have a great time with players who aren't being an ass about nitpick rules all the time good story and fun.

The Scourging will apparently have games from the Battle Missions book.
