Age of Strife Tournament August 2009 RESULTS!

Hi all,

Sorry about the delay, but I'm just back from my holidays!

Without further delay - the results:
The winner of this year's tournament and holder of the title “Best Warhammer 40,000 General on Age of Strife, Holder of the Emperor’s Divine Trust, Destroyer of All” - King - winner of a £15 voucher from GamingFigures.com

Second place - Simon - winner of a £10 voucher from GamingFigures.com

Third place - Lord Malek - winner of a £5 voucher from GamingFigures.com

Other awards that I have just made up!
Bloodiest battle (most VPs scored in a game), winner of the "Wrath of Kharne" prize - Semi final 1 between Baragash & King - total VPs 2,155

Dullest battle (least VPs scored in a game), winner of the "UN Peacekeeping Force" prize - Semi final 2 between Simon & LMTRK- total VPs 620

Most aggressive general (highest VPs scored in group stage) - Baragash

Most cowardly general (lowest VPs scored in group stage) - Taumaul

'Pluckiest' player (lowest score in group stage), and winner of "The Lion's Wooden Spoon" - Slate

A quick thank you to King and his team at GamingFigures.com for generously providing prizes and certificates for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.

That's true, but at least you went down fighting - you scored more VPs than were scored in the other semi-final in total!

Strike has been reinstated :D On that subject, it's easy to add new codes to format text (and there's a lot I've added already that are hidden to keep the confusion down, I'll make a list at some point in the future, but they mostly just allow centreing, floated divs, and boxes around text, as used in ruffian's apoc batrep).
