If its a choice between the 2...HG, Rage just makes so many things pointless (3rd ed beserker swarm player).. 1 cheap speeder turboing around makes the unit chase its own tail till it falls over (every army has something small and disposable that can do it, whether its small outflankers or what not). I guess that the added bit to rage that if embarked they ignore it is a good bump... (old rules were that you staggered out and cuoldn't get back in IIRC)
BIG plus of death company is that unlike all the others.. you can't snipe out and cut off their
FNP and FC. (ask any chaos moaner..its a big plus) also its not fixed at having 5 members (unlike the HG)..
But I'm still more an HG fan.(who can be fearless 1/6 of the time

So IMO it really comes down to backpackless assualt marines (who can hold objectives, not 0-1 but have 1 less attack) death company (who can't be sniped out) or HC (who can be blinged out to be like a chaos chosen/havoc squad) so it comes down to the immortal.."what gear you want, role to perform? and "whats the rest of your list look like?" fudges
