Blood Angels cover

Postby mattjgilbert » Thu Mar 25, 2010 12:48 pm

The picture is also on the cover of the latest WD. It's awful. The guy in the centre's head looks like it's detached from the rest of him (been cut out and stuck on from another picture maybe).

Just me?

I hate the whole style of the picture. The IG codex too...

Yep, our gaming group also commented on front cover and the very same 'detached head', if i'm not mistaken its the same artist that did the equally awful IG codex cover

I guess in the grim darkness of the far future you can 'cut and paste' body parts as well.
Also, I noticed the hem of his robe. I can make out a capital 'S', and then 'giunnis'.
If this is supposed to be the Children of Sanguinis, what's with the lettering on his cloak?

Looking at this in high res it has "S .... GIUNIUS". The fold is obviously hiding the AN, but it does look like a typo as IU instead of UI.

Hmm it's just a picture.
Why let it bother you?
It's the contents that matter.
The world won't end because of it.
Although the typo if true is a bit lame but thats gw for you.

I always thought so!
Just like the cover of the new Tyranid codex. If you look at the spore mine on the lower left, it looks like a smily face.
No complaint, just an observation!

I can complain though if I want to surely... isn't a complaint just another way of expressing an opinion? albeit a bit of a negative one...

I hate them, I think they all look crap from the IG, thru the Nid one, to this BA one. I'm almost hoping it isn't the Dark Eldar next now :( I'll wait for the new format of covers in 2011... coz they seem to change them annually. ;)

Yeh people can complain about whatever they want,I'm still complaining about the shaft CSM's got in that last abortion of a dex.
My point was that it's only a picture when all's said and done.
