So as the title asks are they but a few hundred strong at the current stage in 40k? I read that their fortress was wiped out by a rogue missile blah blah and Kantor now leads the survivors, but I didn't catch when. So has the chapter had time to rebuild?

Reason I ask is I'd like to do my Fists by company, but if they don't even have enough marines to make 1 company that'd be a little silly wouldn't it?

The first company were the original survivors of Rynns World.. They are the >only< ones who have both hands painted red.
I believe, though can't prove it, that they number around 500- 600 marines..

I understood that the first company numbers 128 as a nod towards a crusade in M36 and they were then devastated at Rynns world, which was In the 989th year of the 41st millennium so not sure what the time line to date is as I haven't got the big rule book in front of me but looking at the Internet I don't think we are in M42 yet (could be wrong) so that doesn't leave a lot of time for recruitment :?
