I even had to make the list by hand
Took shiny new stuff where I could and played against Dark Eldar (realised I had never played Martyn with his army...ever, in years. How odd).
New stuff I took was
TFC, 5 scout bikes (2 grenade launchers), cato, scouts with camo cloaks and telion. Also took my two new attack bikes.
Cato failed his suprise attack (I normally wouldn't have bothered to try and get first turn in an objective game but I figured I might as well use his rule). I used his ability to give a tac squad a skill and turned a 10 man rhino based squad into outflankers. The scout bikers also outflanked.
Sniper scouts and telion set-up in ruin bolstered by
TFC techmarine for 2+ cover save goodness (not that it helped at all... stupid Dark Eldar Mandrakes killed them all after only a single round of shooting.
Some idiot (read wolflord havoc) rolled dawn of war for us which meant the
TFC had to move on and miss a turn shooting. It didn't matter. Using the airburst mode it munched through pretty much one unit per turn. The scout bikers did likewise with supporting fire. The first turn the
TFC fired it scored 19 hits on a 15 strong unit of wyches and killed 14 of them. Nice.
Things I forgot... the dev serg has a signum... although they also got pounced on by mandrakes before they could fire so it didn't matter. I also forgot about the cluster mines I had taken so threw away those 10 points. I had taken a command squad with cato in a basic razorback and they avenged any fallen marines and scouts by wiping out 17 mandrakes in the turn they charged (casualties + sweeping advances).
Lost about 1/3 of my force. Martyn gave up when all he had was Eldar paste spread all over his side of the table.
