Flat LearningCurve: 19 inches for demonettes

Postby BrotherErekose » Sat Nov 18, 2006 6:13 am

I barely lost against Thousand sons, a mere 55 or so points. Fun game, though.
:)

But have I *got* to learn to keep a buffer zone between me and the stupid Icon bearers. I'm really annoyed with myslef having had 2 terminator crews that I could have kept well back, and fired and moved with lotsa dice. Instead, like a dork, I had them lined up behind the tactical squads. He had two great scatters that set up his little girls who then gave my terminator crew lethal lap dances.

I did eventually fry the little vixens with torandos, once the girls had relieved themselves of their h2h combat burdens...
[heavy sarcasm there]
;)

Any helpful hints, or is it just that obvious: 18 inches, err, 19 inches?

Oop, beg pardon, they were Slaanesh Noise makers.

...glad I took a libby with a familiar, at least he could swing simultaniously....

Hi Mate,
Ok the first one is pretty explanitary, Daemons Scatter! sometimes towards you, sometimes away from you. I just can't be helped!!

All you can really do is react to them. If you can keep your distance then great but thats not always possible,

There's a possible reaching distance of up to 29 inches! And thats with normal daemons

5 inch template, 12 inch scatter, 6 inch move, 6 inch charge.

Best thing is to react to them, Keep in cover as much a possible, that way you hit them first.

Also i think you were done! Librarian is I5, I6 with a familiar, daemonettes reduce I by 1 so you should have hit first not at the same time.

Oop, I misreported:

The *chaplain* had simulaneous strike, the libby was first as long as the familiar lasted. Once the familiar had to abosrb a wound, there was one round of same-time-swings.

I'm thinking that having 1 or 2 'sacrifice' units forward might be best; 5 man squads allowing the daemons to get unentangled after one roundso they can be shot up; but that's gonna take some choreography.

And I just don't like the idea of scarificing anything.
