I may have to "come out of retirement" just to buy one of these... :)

Of course, it wont get painted for years ever, but oh well. :P

I was under the impression that the hive guard were a subtle homage to the Zoats. Mostly based on the centaur-like body and limb positioning.

OK, anyone with one of these wondering "How did I manage to spend money on this?" After buying space Marines and their ilk, buying one of these seems so very small.

I got one in the post the other day that I ordered in advance and I was disgusted with the size and quality if this model. It really is a Joke-on-u
I was spitting feathers for the most part of Weds night. Especially after buying a FOW UH-1B Hog and finding that for £14 I get a massive resin model, a choice of weapons, a large plastic flying base 4 rare earth magnets and a sheet of decals, were as with GW I pay £7 and get a small silver blob.
Im seriously thinking of taking it back to the store and demanding my money back. When they ask for the reason Ill just point to the model and say - you’re taking the P!%%.....

Not happy. :x

Hmm,...

I ordered mine at my FLGS yesterday. Am I going to regret it?

I made the mistake of looking at GK prices the other day and nearly choked when I saw that Draigo is £13.80, and the other GK terminator metal figures are £12.30. So for half the price of a plastic terminator box you get a single non-poseable figure with no spare parts ... 8O

I remember the days when a box of 9 metal terminators was less than £10 . :?

Trouble is we are a captive market. :(
Can’t go to the GT with proxy models and we all have to have the latest army
What we need is a boycott – Lets start our own GT  :o

Those were the days my friend,
We thought they'd never end,
You got 9 termies within box.
The casts are better now,
But the the price is wow!

GW don't run GTs any more - in the US the last one was 2008, in the UK it was in 2009. Yes, they still do Throne of Skulls, but it's not called a GT any more ;)

As to independent GTs, Maelstrom already run a UK 40k GT, where did you think Nige was a few weekends ago?

Hmmm lets play Devils advocate here.

You pay £7 for a small figure you like and will use. Is that better or worse value than the figures you have packed away that may have been 'better' value at purchase but you have never done anything with them?

Depends what those models would fetch if you sold them off ;)

Only if they were bought as an investment. Otherwise warehousing costs have to be factored in.
