GK LRR

Postby reaver13 » Sat Mar 14, 2009 3:49 pm

I'm really interested in buying a grey knight redeemer from FW, but I was wondering rules wise how I could fit it in? Has there been a FAQ or errata about GKs being able to field this variant or even a FW imperial armor book about it?

Also how would you guys feel about playing against one? Would you allow it even though it has those amazing TL psycannons of doom? Thanks for any feedback, I just don't want to spend money on a model that will see more shelf time than table time.

Morning :)
I can't find it in the IA 2 update
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/pdf/ia2-update.pdf

It doesn't have a link under its pic for experimental rules or anything..
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/QU ... F__11.html

Does spack and other IA nutters know anything about it the rest of us don't?
We know that in autumn they said.. "deal with it" your codex is your codex and its not getting anything new.. (then stuck their tongue out) but recently there have been murmerings of a change in attitude.. the GT faq not only says BA use smurf technology a bit.. but also talks about a bunch of imminent new faqs (specifically they say "upcoming ork faq")..so maybe the grey knights will get access to smurf stuff then?
No idea..
As to general gaming attitude..normal rules.. as long as it isn't going to destroy the game I see no problem with it turning up once evaluating it and checking the game didn't fall over.. if game lived rinse and repeat. Why not proxy play it with a friend to see how it alters the battlefield before you buy it :)

It has always been the prerogative of half-wits and fools to point out the Emperor has no clothes, but the Emperor remains the Emperor, and the half-wit remains a half-wit.-The Sandman (The friendly ones)

I think the rules for this "might" turn up in the next siege book..I haven't seen any experimental rules on website, and I haven't seen anything about LR variants other than what is in the last FAQ. It specifically mentions the LR and LRC, so whether that means you can have all the other variants??
For non GT type games, I'd say yes, you could have one

BIG EDIT: take a look at BoLS :D
