hay guys iys a simple question whats your opinion on haywire grenades are they worth it.my army is a 600pt wyche cult led by lilth so whats you thought should i take them?

I always give haywire grenades to my wyches as it allows them to take on any foe, defo worth it in my opinion.

Agreed. Points well spent. 4 in 6 chance to glance, 1 in 6 chance to pen, regardless of vehicles AV? What's not to like?

My Wyches' first target is always infantry, particularly the ones thinking they are safe in cover. But once all the infantry are dead your Wyches only weapon vs armour is a blast pistol. The Haywire grens are cheap and hurt anything with armour. Only 2 points each, so I think they are very worth it.

Only downside is in 600pts games you might not see alot of armour.

Hmm i think i will see armour someones got a storm raven and someones packing 2/3 tanks in imperial gaurd i almost feel bad for considering getting rid of them

In which case I would take them. But if others are fielding armour Ur gonna need so dark lances in your list somewhere. Have u got any?

im takinng 2 raiders with 10 wyches and a sucubus got about 70 points to spare

So DLs on Raiders and give the wyches a Heterax with Blast pistol and the unit HW grens. Should see off his armour. I'd take Archon with Shadowfield over the Succubus everytime. Infact I haven't found a use for the Succubus yet. What is she supposed to do?

She's an alternative HQ choice. Only 5 points more than an Archon and she comes with combat drugs and dodge.
On the posetive side, she can take a lort of 'wych' weapons that the Archon can't.
On the negative side she can't take a lot of options the Archon can, but put her with a Wych unit and you have a pretty good cc unit.
Don't know if she's worth it yet though.

Put her with a wych unit and she'll fight alone in CC coz she's an IC.

But she's I8 so she and the wyches are going to attack before most any other models.
All you have to do is get her in base contact.
And since she (and the wyches) already come with plasma grenades cover won't reduce their initiative.
Give her a agonizer and she's 85 points and you get 4 attacks, 5 on the charge that hit most everyone on a 3+, and wound on a 4+ with no armor saves.
Maybe not the best HQ choice, but certainly a viable one.

Mmm yes that gives the unit 9 power weapon attacks on the charge. All killing on 4s. Like her better now.

And she even has her own model now!
