Which do you guys think is better?

With the Cadian one you got 20 Cadian Shock Troops, 3 HW teams, 1 Leman Russ tank, and the Gothic Ruins.

With the Catachan one you got 25 Catachans, 3 HW Teams, 2 Sentinels, and a set of trees. I actually have an old Cat box that shows that before that they came with a tank too.

Now the contents are
Cadian: 20 Cadian Shock Troops, 3 HW teams, 1 Command squad, and 1 Sentinel.

Catachan: Same but Catachan flavor.

I like the fact that the new Cadian Battleforce has an HQ but dropping the tank is really bad IMHO. The new Cat box just drops a Sentinel and the trees and gets some new sculpts for an HQ.

The parts to the old Cadian box would now be $44 for troops, $35 HW teams, $40 for the tank and no price on the gothic scenery since they don't do bits orders. That is $119 in all.

The parts on the old Cat box would now be $44 for troops, $35 HW teams, $50 for the sentinals, and $25 for HQ but lets call it $11 to be more fair. No price on the trees. They have Jungle Plants for $40 but that is not the same. That is $140 in all.

The new box contents are $129 in new prices.

Smart? Should they explain that more with the recent price increase in Battleforces?

Having the leman russ tank would be a big selling point
'all these men and a big tank!' It looks good value for money.

The new kits just don't look good value. I know they are in terms of buying separately, but it just looks a bit thin on content for £55 or whatever.

That is very true. When I first saw it I was like "that is all" but once I added it up it looked a lot better. Still an IG box without a tank seems odd to me.
