IG Expansion

Postby Jay » Sat Jun 16, 2007 5:39 pm

I'm going to be increasing my IG army, currently it consists of;

1xCommand Squad
1xUrsarkar Creed
1xJarran Kell
3xFlag Bearer
1xSniper (cadian)
1xCommisar
1xHvy Weapon team
1xSentinal
1xLeman russ
1xJunior Officer
2xChimera Transport
1xKaskin Sgt
4xKaskin Troops
20xShock Troops

I'm getting an extra 20 shock troops, another heavy weapons team and filling out my elites with spec. weapons. Though I'm stumped on what armour I should for next, another leman or a ballisk or a squad of sentinals. Maybe even just another team of heavy weapons. Thoughts?

my thoughts would be - u want loads of heavy weapons teams and men.

the most difficult IG line ups i've met are loads of men with big guns and maybe the odd tank or two.

Your going to be a very static firing line though, so some mobility and anti assault needs to be introduced also, but there are lots of ways to play IG, and it all comes down to what u like and ur gaming style. ;)

Canon fodder and moblity served me well last week; Sentinals might help bridge that combined with my chimeras and 1 leman russ. Think a extra heavy weapons squad would go along way.

Get a Demolisher or a Basilisk with indirect fire. The Demolisher is great for taking out units and heavy armour, and the Basilisk is great for hiding and dropping pie plates on the enemy.
