You should of called a member of staff over (or the manager in this case) its there job to sort things like that out 2 people who have never met will generally have different opinions and if problems occur than the staff member should quickly put it right (if doing his job properly).

why would u wanna magnetise it, a dreadie still won't fit in it :) The FW is nearly 3x the height of a dreaide:

The Dreadnought also won't fit through the doors on the GW drop pod - that's why the FW one has only 3 doors.

However, the opponent HOBO had sounds like he was going to cause trouble throughout the game at any opportunity, so refusing to play him was the only sensible solution to the problem,

That picture says it all really...the FW Drop Pod is obviously a lot bigger than the GW one, as a Dread will definitely not physically fit inside the GW one regardless if the inner workings are there or not.

And seen as the GW DP has 5 small doors compared to the FW's 4, the Dread physically wont pass through the GW's doors anyway.

In the end these sorts of anomolies are supposed to be sorted out by commonsense...aren't they?

Its a wonder that guy ever gets to play a game!
What an Attitude!
GWs rules say a Pod can carry x number of Marines, yes it has just changed the No. for Codex Chapters & y No. for others (BTs,DAs, BAs,SWs etc) and One Drednaught.
As they dont make "specific" Dred Pods everyone except him would be happy with what ever you wanted to put in it.

Dont sweat it Hobo, he probably would have been a real A-hole to play!

Hey Hobo!
Just picked up on this quote above. :)

I have both a FW Pod & just finished my new GW one & my FW Pod has 5 Doors & is actually slightly smaller across the base than the GW one.

Have FW changed to a 4 door Pod??
I think they actually made a Dred Pod so maybe thats the one with 4 doors??

Yea sorry, should have been clearer...it's the FW Dread DP with the 4 or is it only 3 doors.

No mate, I don't sweat much...about very little really.

You have the FW troop pod then - it only carries 5 men, not 10/12. These still have rules for 5 man drops in Imperial Armour Apocalypse, and don't use the SM drop pod rules - using the FW rules you can assault out of them :)

There is no 4 door pod - 5 doors for infantry, 3 for dreadnoughts.

No issues here. As long as you have the right innards. If you use that Dread Pod then I think your Marine squad needs to take a Dangerous Terrain test for bouncing around the inside without proper seats and belts.

G'day Spack!
I have always used my FW Pod to transport 10 Black Templars as per the BT Codex rules as there were no GW Pods around.
Was I a "naughty" Crusader then ????
Never had any problems at our Games Club due to the BT Codex.
Havent played in a big Tourney so I guess it never came up
