If you read the "I am the greatest" blogs.. most of them say the kantor lists can't work to their best in under 2000 points.
That said I see some novelty in them and I think its worth a bash.
Popular builds
~10 in a pod, 2 heavy flamers+Combi meltas followed up by a load of stuff that means it doesn't just get redeemered to death.
~ 5 in a rhino with 2 heavy flamers and a few combi weapons.
~ 5 stationary at the back with 2 plasma cannons (stationary stuff needs range).

(My silly variants that the internet hates are- 5 in a pod combi melta, plus master of forge with etra combi flamer.. and 5 man 2 las (cheaper than smurf dev equiviliant))
You need to meet your min troops too (storm scouts, 10 man tact MM F combi F rhin or something)
Suddenly your list looks awfully tight.
2MMs- a pillbox, can't move and shoot those guns (unlike heavy flamers) doesn't have range of other weapons..Doesn't fit with any of the special ammo..Not, in my mind, the best.
(Didn't I say a bunch of this on the "whats good in the smurf codex thread?)

Why don't you try Kantor, 3 full units of sternguard, 2 scout units (in storms or not) and a couple of thunderfire cannons. This should leave you with points to spend on wargear for pretty much whatever you want

I worked a list of:
Kantor
2 10 man sternguard squads each with 5 combiweapons + power fist in drop pods
2 10 man Tactical squads with Power fist Sgt in drop pods (any free weapons fit)
Iron clad with heavy flamer in drop pod.

Leaves 15 pts to upgrade tactical squad weapons.

True drop pod assault army.

One problem. Drop pods only have a 10 man capacity (or 1 dread) so where are you going to put Kantor?

Yeah, the SM drop pod (and the land raider too) is a little more spacious inside than the other chapters. I might paint mine blue with "Police Box" on the outside ...

Wouldn't there be a risk of your Drop Pods traveling to alternate realities if you do that? I guess that is the Deep Strike mishap result for them.

You would suffer the alternate reality mishap by rolling a '7' or '8' on a D6. :P

Sorry about the drop pod comment earlier, was looking at wrong codex!
Questions I have,
Why 2 HQ?
Why the sb on both predators? Those 20 points (10 ea) could be used better elswhere.
Why not take 1 assault cannon on one of the storms? Give you melta on one and a heavy 4 firepower on the other.
Just seems like an awful lot of melta weapons giving just 4 long range weapons in the entire force.

Could you drop the TL/LC back to ACs on the 2 predators. Make them Anti-infantry models. You have the MMs you need for anti-tank.

Hang on... are the sternguard walking?

OOPS............. they are in Rhino's

The 2 TL preds are to take some of the heat off of the Rhino's............. 1 HQ in each squad to give a bit of buffing

Yeah but they seem kind of out of place if you see what I mean. You are starting with only 4 models on the table of course so those rhinos do need to survive to deliver the cargo: Are the rhinos naked or have you got ea on them? Are 2 TL/LC enough covering fire for 2 Rhinos? That's my worry really. It seems an awfully big gamble.
