To the Age of Strife Community...

I need competent script writers to design unit lines voice actors will speak for in-game use with various near-completed Dawn of War mod projects.

You MUST know the War40k faction in-question and be committed to building accurate voice script lines for specific unit types. I have a group of voice actors waiting on lines you will be putting together.

The following War40k factions need voice lines made for each unit:

Just a pointer. The Legion of the Damned do not speak! Thay are Silant Bringers of Death.

I think that's explained away in the text for the legion if you follow the link. Sometimes sound effects are used instead - or the ghostly whipsers of damend and dying marines. They don't actually speak themselves.

I think you'll respectively disagree with the compromised we reached with THIS!. LoD are indeed Ghosts but that doesn't mean should TOTALLY be devoid of dialogue. They are damaged spirits and should tell some sort of story even very limited.

Magnificent, WorfLord (thank you Matt)! We are in desperate need of Red Scorpion scripters as well as IH but mostly Red Scorps (none seems to know about em). We can confer in PM if you wish and I'll provide all the details you need.

Yep, KinG! We already have them all in a MAJOR Dark Angels, His Righteous/Cadian Mod, and Tallarns. Also, voicing is complete for Ultramarines, Fallen Angels, Orks, Eldar/Craftworld, and others. We're making considerable progress on all fronts since I started getting all of War40k scripted back in Oct'09. I plan to have everything done by the end of 2011 (with the considerable generous help of all of you). This is a COMMUNITY project meant NOT for Dawn of War 1 but for all War40k projects everywhere. It can be used for all time or as new models are added (ie. Forgeworld).

All the list in the first post is independently done -- GW would never EVER undertake such a thing -- its just too much work. However, I have extra time this last year to help coordinate this. I started this because one day I put in fully customized voices into a forthcoming Harlequins mod and was utterly stunned how cooler it sounds when custom voices are used rather than vanilla ones. I, thus, started the crusade and we're almost there.

@Ruffian.. which part of the list are you applying for? You'll notice from the list this is for Real-Time Strategy unit scripting so I don't doubt based on your submission you would be a good candidate to focus your dialogue to specific unit types. Does this mean you are interested?

Sorry Thudo, I do actually write serious stuff, there's a bit around here and there.

But, I admire Shakespeare very much, he could convey massive ammounts of material extraordinarily eloquently with very few words and great elegance.

Should I therefore aspire to such a thing???? Not really, it just wont happen.

What to do then?
Write something overly long-winded, that conveys as little actual information as possible, in an unelegant and grammatically incorrect manner as possible.

Sure man but as you have seen in the massive first post, this is about bringing "X" War40k unit alive for the first time as a logical entity which has a voice. Which in the first post do you think you could help with based on whats left to do?
