New Daemon Prince:

Postby KInG » Wed Aug 18, 2010 12:50 pm

I just bought one of these kits, and I have to say I am quite impressed with it. I was really apprehensive when I 1st saw images of it. I thought the piccie on the box made the DP look a little comical. With the large number of differing parts and permutations you get with this kit I thought it might be interesting to see how others have made theirs:

Poo I thought I had an image of mine, but not so... I'll post one up tonight. Anyone else made this kit yet, if so how did u compose yours?

Haven't got one yet, but I agree, seeing it in the flesh and some of the options that weren't in the early GW pics has vastly increased my interest in the model.

Not to fussed about seeing the template model..How easy is it to get a new torso..to be able to make multiple DPs from 1 kit?
how many sets of spares of everything..I presume you get get spare arms (just weapons :(? )and heads?
Barely even lurking..

I like the kit. I have already built/converted my new DP model. I used a Doom Wolf head, so I still have left over from the set: 1 set of wings, 1 set of chaos spikes (for the back in place of the wings or 40K exhausts), 1 tail, 40K-ish arms (arm choices are complete from shoulder down), 3 heads, chainmail tabard, and 1 torso front piece. With another set of legs and another torso back one could build two Daemon Princes from one kit. Even then, there are possiblities for conversion or sculpting the missing pieces and building another Prince. I would think a Slaneeshy snake body or Nurgley slug body would be easy conversions.

u mean a rolled up piece of greenstuff, then stick the left overs into it ;) lol class

one kit = 1 DP

3 heads, 2 sets of arms, weapons Power Claws; Axe; Sword, 2 front torsos, 1 back torse with either wings; spikes; vents attached, 1 set of legs, 1 tail, and some shoulder pads and thigh pads to add or not. I thik that was everything.

Not quite. Since I am able to sculpt, I am thinking something a bit more detailed than a sausage of green stuff, but I'm sure some would use that approach.

With almost enough bits for a second.

Was the DP instruction sheet numbered. I can't recal now.

The reason I ask is I've just opened my new plastic Bloodcrushers and they are, along with the sprues.

This is long overdue and reminds me of my old airfix planes as a kid.

I never read the instructions for the DP. They went straight into the bin.
