New SM Army?

OK. So my Mantic order arrived and I really don't know wht I shoudl do with them. Thinking of maybe making a 40k SM army out of the enforcers I got, but also thinking I might want to remain somewhat playable for Deadzone/Warpath possibly. No one here plays them, but who knows in the future right. Anyways,

What are the thoughts on the best SM army to utilize:
60x Enforcers/Marines
25x Peacekeeper/Terminators (all with Shields, but also with Guns? ... is there a terminator in any sm army that can do that? maybe 30k? or FW?)
4x Enforcer DZ Booster Bundles (for those that know what these included, should be: 1 w/ heavy gun, 1 medic, 1 sergeant, and 2 with shields/guns, all Marine size ea..)
2x metal Enforcers sergeants
1x metal Peacekeeper captain
4x Striders (Thinking I might use as Dreads)

I am open to ANY current rules, but am thinking I want to remain consistent with the Mantic models for look(so don't want to convert too much using 40k stuff.

Anyway, let me know what you all think. I also am open to playing them counts as a different 40k army assuming I can get better use of the models and it wont be confusing what I am fielding.

I think the Peacekeepers will be the real issue - without seeing the newest army books I cannot think of any Terminators that can field shields and rifles.

Everything else will pretty much fit into the standard tactical squad or command squad - although you may not get to use all the defenders and medics! You could start with a simple 6 tactical squads, command, Dreads and characters from any flavour marines you choose - Ultramarines being the obvious choice. Add in a couple of Rhinos (or whatever transports you prefer), and I would say that's a solid basis for any army.

You could use the peacekeepers as termies with an experimental new weapon that is just treated as a powerfist for the rules but other than that go with what berger said

Yeah, the peacekeepers are certainly the unknown. I was hoping there was some sort of FW specialty flavor unit that had shields and guns, but I figured it was a stretch. Given all the Enforcers I have though, I really want to make some sort of use of them, otherwise I am sitting on a pile of plactic crack doing nothing.

@Angelwing, I like that idea. Basically the shields are no in game effect other than to represent the INV save. interesting thought.

The flip side could be to use them with T/H and S/S rules, but with the power gauntlets representing the experimental "thunder fist"! :)

well the idea behind the termie invun save is the armour is so thick that when it is penetrated, it may not actually hit the wearer of the armour so why not have 'slimline termies' with the shield representing the save :)

Heck if you watch Gundam Wing there is a model which has a shield which it uses it as a fist-type weapon so theres a thought
