With 5th Ed almost upon us, I have decided to turn my Orks into a proper horde army(no more driving around the table causing mayhem).

After a brief discussion(30 seconds to be precise), KInG, Cgra1 and myself came up with this rather entertaining 1500 point Ork list.

HQ's 2x Warphead weirdboy(for those extra Waaaaghs)

Troops 5 x 25 Boyz inc Nob with Bosspole and Klaw( 2 units are shootas)

Troops 1 x 30 Grotswith 3 Runtherds(obviously the cannnon fodder/greenskin shield sent out to the front of the horde)

FA 3 x 2 wartrakks with TL Rokkits( the anti tank boyz)

What are your thoughts and would you like to face it?

it would concern me initially to face that, but once im into the battle, it wouldn't be something i'd worry about.

i'd say if you are going for sloggers, stick to sloggers.

those wartrakks count as vehicles rather than bikes right? all the anti tank of your opponent would focus on them and take them out in short order.

if you swapped them for non vehicle anti tank, you would render your opponents lascannons/lances almost useless.

i also think it needs a bit of spice.

a unit of stormboyz and one of blood axes would mix it up a bit and throw your opponent off a bit, even if they weren't all that successful in their own right. plus it may mean the enemy concentrates on killing them and gives your units time to slog it over.

when i write a list, i don't just think about what can earn its points back, i also think about what will draw the enemies attention, allowing the less flashy, but still useful units to cross the board reletively untouched and be able to acheive their goal
