Plastic Catachan and Plastic Cadian

Postby estarriol » Thu Apr 29, 2010 9:50 am

ANybody got them both and a side by side pic.

I know the Catachans have a reputation of being bulky and over muscular, I would like to see how much please.

The newer catachan models are much better - The old ones had bisceps larger than the marines shoulder pads, but the newer models have been scaled back. I've got a guard army based on cadian models but in order to create some veterans I purchased the catachan command box and an infantry box and mixe them with the equivalent in cadians - my vets now run round in a mix of fatigues, some with cadian kevlar and some catachan vests - some with bare arms, some with shirts. They mix well, and look realistic now. If I get chance later I'll do a couple of pics for you. :)

I would be grateful if you would please.

It may be that the older more muscular style is what I am after.

As promised: image includes on left 2 standard pattern cadian models, then in centre two veteran conversions using the arms from the catachan sprues, then on right an old marine for comparation purposes. :)

Those bare arms work really well with the cadian bodies. Excellent for veterans, combat engineers and mad demo charge special weapon teams!
