With the increase in pricing we will be seeing fewer Inquisition forces. I was trying to think of what could be done by Games Workshop to keep them as a viable force. Now as I understand the most recent statement they wish to press forward with more plastics. Here is the sentence that best supports that. This has also encouraged us to accelerate our plans for expanding our plastic kit range even more quickly so keep a look out for new projects in the future. So with that in mind I am trying to think of what could be done to add the Inquisition as a viable force. There are some assumptions I have made. If they are in error please point out to me where so we can get on the same page.1. The demand for Daemon Hunters and Witch Hunters were never high.2. The Xeno Hunters would be part of a combined Codex.3. The new Codex would be written in a way to allow combined units from all Ordos.4. There would be 5-7 new plastic kits. This thread is primarily about number 4. I won't presume to say how exactly the Codex should be written but instead I am try to think of what limited kits could be released which would allow for the greatest demand and allow those plastic kits to pay for themselves.I see a need for the followingPlastic Sisters of Battle (10 Sisters Box)Plastic Grey Knights in Power Armor (10 GK Box)Plastic Upgrade Box- Upgrade for Terminators- Heavy Weapons for Sisters and GK- Special Weapons for both- Psycannon for DreadnoughtCurrently they have metal upgrade bits packs for Death Watch and they could create an upgrade bits packs to turn the new Plastic Sisters into Seraphim but I think they should create those in plastic as now is a great opportunity. They could sell a box like the DA or BT Upgrade box. To make DW you pick up a SM box and use those bits (increased sales). To make Serph you must pick up the Sisters box. It would be like the Terminator upgrade which would require the Terminator box.Unless the rules change greatly I don't see the Repentia being in high demand. The Empire flagellants were redone so I don't know that there is really an opportunity for a "Sisters of Sigmar/Repentia" crossover box like they had for daemons. Penitent Engines are another model that can't go plastic unless the rules over overhauled. Without major changes to the way Assassins work, those won't sell in high enough volume to justify going plastic. That is also true for Inquisitors (and Lords and by extension retinues). So what else could be part of Codex: Inquisition and made in plastic? Thanks.
This has also encouraged us to accelerate our plans for expanding our plastic kit range even more quickly so keep a look out for new projects in the future.
