SM exhibition

Postby General_Lee » Fri Dec 18, 2009 10:01 am

GW SM exhibition this is such a nostalgia trip. How good is the security on those displays? I'd love to get hold of some of the classic stuff without having to trudge through ebay.

I figured out I have a few of the pre marine marines (same with termies, although I'd need enough to replace with like for like, which makes it a prohibitive pricing)- which I must admit I don't like very much.
If you want to go the legal root I could figure out what ebay would charge and add them to "the list"
[joking]If not, the cases are by the side exit, 2 fire doors and exit door.. the cases will need a breaching tool ..its not super fragile (but i don't imagine it being the super toughest, if in doubt go for the hinges/locks) of a building in the middle of the compound.[end joking]- more expensive to drive there and do it than buying them.

Me and LH have been very tempted to just dive into epic on ebay, the armies go for so little.

I've still got all my original epic stuff :) Some bits are useful for AI. I'm sure at some point we might have a game...

I got that set of metal termies when they came out too. I still have them, still use them if I play SM. I also have all the old CSM termies (both RT era and the 2nd ed box), the old GKs (both the original ones, and the later versions with the half helmet covers), the SW and DW 2nd ed metal boxed sets. I also have a lot of extra RT and 2nd ed loyalist metal termies (I think I have about 50 in total, adding the GKs and CSM, plus the later GKs, plastics for both SM and CSM, and I think I have just over 100).

Most of my marines are RT and 2nd ed models, plus I have an RTB01 box. Most of my Eldar are RT and 2nd ed too. I also have a box of RT IG that don't get used (including 30 penal legion and 3 human bombs, and a set of plastic IG). I don't have the old SMs shown on the 2nd row in the above link, but I do have the power armoured marine LE10 model, as well as a bunch of other old and ltd stuff.

Oh, and 14 dreadnoughts (combining loyalist and heretic, I've only got 3 heretic dreads of which one is the RT model, and I have 3 - one of each - of the RT loyalist dreads) - but who's counting, eh?

Of course, some of you know this already ;) I've just posted this for those who haven't met me, or haven't seen the inside of my gaming room. :D

You got a free slot on the Saturday in February? I'll bring the rules, laminated cards, and 3 airforces (Tau, Imperial, Eldar), should be enough to play. Could play 100pts and have someone just use my Manta as their entire force :P

Epic! That sounds like a plan! I'll have to grab my titans back off my brother...

I had those metal terminators too. They seemed so expensive at the time - wasn't about £12 for the box? (mmmmm, £1 per minature, those were the days...)

Free slot on Saturday depends on Ljundhammer and his tournament!

AI might be nice though... I have an upainted and half assembled ork fleet sitting in a box... and lots of unpainted terrain.

I'm currently collating all my minis into apoc style categories and then running them through AB.. to upload to my project log to use as an index as to what I need to do.. your numerophilia fails to run the full 1000 metres like de sade.. when compared to my OCD of number love..
But your horde is bigger :P

Sorry but I was concerned about some peoples habits when I first read the topic of this thread.

Really? I was actually slightly disappointed when I saw that it was about Space Marines!

Nice looking stuff though. Good thing there is no lareny in anyone's heart here, could start an interesting side thread on how to purloin the minis!
