Age of Strife

Hey guys, wondering if any of you can tell me what the total points cost is of the models that come with the Space Marine Strike Force box set.

I usually play Necrons; I've never had a marine army, and now I'm getting back into the game I really want one!

The set contains the following:

The Space Marine Strikeforce includes 1 Space Marine Commander, 1 Space Marine Command Squad, 1 Space Marine Razorback, 2 Space Marine Tactical Squads, 1 Space Marine Venerable Dreadnought, 1 Space Marine Drop Pod, 1 Space Marine Assault Squad, and 1 Space Marine Scouts with sniper rifles squad. Also included are 4 Space Marine transfer sheets with which to add Chapter iconography and squad markings, and 2 Space Marine vehicle transfer sheets with which to add vehicle markings.

BattleScribe won't give me the points cost for the Razorback, Drop Pod, Venerable Dreadnought and the Space Marine Commander!

I don't have the new codex sorry fella, I'm sure other will help out though. I'd not go Chaos though as they suck ballz! I'm with you though every 40k player NEEDS a Marine army in there collection. What chapter are you thinking of?

No worries. Chaos don't really appeal to me to be honest, and I really fancy a marine army.

In terms of Chapters I wouldn't mind an Ultramarines army, but I'm thinking maybe either Salamanders or Imperial Talons to avoid the bog standard colour schemes of Marine armies these days.

Trouble is the lad I play the most has Blood Angels, if I went down the Talons route it would annoy me how alike they were... ultimately rules out any black or red armies I think!

i love Ultra's I think if I was starting again with marines it'd be a toss up with them and white scares.

Depends what they are kitted out with, is there any spares in the box to customise your models to your own satisfaction? Or do they literally just come as they look on the box? Also battlescribe should give you the points for the bits you say your struggling with so don't know what's happening there :s lol I have a little look myself see what's in the box......... Salamanders sounds like a good choice, dnt see many of them about I dnt think lol

About 1000pts all big standard, but could be a fair but more with upgrades I.e drop pod weapon? Razorback weapon? Heavy and special weapon in tactical squads? Seargents-to-Veteran Seargents? Captains weapons? Also will be a bit more due to the fact you can't seem to add a command squad to your HQ selection on Battlescribe lol

Great! Well I've already got a Vindicator, Assault Squad, Rhino and Devestator Squad so I'm not far off an army if I purchase the Strike Force! Maybe next PayDay I will pay PC Tech a visit. I'm determined to get my Necrons finished first mind!
