love the colours and I like the glossy carapace. If i have a minor criticism, its the gap left by the two halves in the top tail segment of carapace. Liquid green stuff during construction can fix this. Its a common problem with the big tyranid kits. I'm building the crone at the moment and it has loads of this type of thing to fill in.

I like to see more of a contrast in colours from the armour plate to the soft under flesh. This would have looked a lot cooler with a lighter green or sickly pale yellow ;)

Apart from that it looks great. I particularly like to see lots of blood around the teeth and claws of nids. More splatter please.

oh i don't know. I like the subtle colours, dark and sinister, but not just sprayed black and highlighted.

The only nids I have are from the Macragge boxed set.
I painted mine Aliens black with contrasting colours on the claws and mouths. Then highlighted with a mix of dark brown and grey with a dry brush. Much prefer the darker brooding look to some of the garish paint jobs you see. :-)
