Valkyrie Markings

Postby HOBO » Sat May 30, 2009 12:52 am

Hi Guys
I'm a bit iffy on the correct way to complete my 2 Valkyries (well they're Vendettas actually) ala paint scheme/Markings.

The Vendetta is a part of the Imperial Navy so when I have them attached to my IG Regiment I know that they're.....

1/marked with their Imperial Navy Tactical Wing numbers/badge
2/normally camouflaged in the colours according to whatever Campaign the IG Regiment is fighting in.

from there do I......

3/also represent the actual IG Regiment markings on the model...or not?

With the above first 2 have I got that right?...and is there anything I've missed?

I know I could probably just do whatever I want but I want to get it right, especially seen as I went to the trouble of getting all the markings correct on all my Chimeras and Russes etc.

Thanks for any help

I suppose your fluff will help dictate whether to include IG unit markings. I was just reading the IG codex earlier and it states that units seconded will gather markings of the primary force over time as the units become more integrated. So, if the valkyries/Vendettas have been with the reginemt for some time, the unit to which it has been assigned may have begun marking it as their transport.

Hmmm, I thought I'd get more help with this as I know there's some diehard IG'ers here.

Anyway...Culven, thanks for your input, much appreciated>

I haven't got as far as adding markings like this to my Valks - the one with the most paint on simply has a blue/black camo design with a red stripe on the tailspar.

I'm probably going to just stick to Navy markings on mine.
