Just spent the last weekend at Warp Storm 1, Maelstrom games first 40k tourney held at thier HQ in Mansfield.

there were 14 players with a variety of armies ( think Valentines day cut the field down somewhat )

they currently have 18 tables in operation with at least another 40+ tables coming online in the next few months...........

It cost £30 including buffet lunch on both days........... ticket came with a very neat colour rulespack with all the scenarios laid out ( including a a twist to the capture scenario. ( see website for a look at the rules pack )

Terrain was fantastic with lots of good LOS blocking terrain on every table.

Though I played like a chump for most of the weekend i had a really relaxed weekend with 6 tough games with fun opponents....
just like gaming should be............

I've already signed up for the next one at the start of may.............. hope to see some of you guys there
