Which weapon would be best overall fro a Chaos Lord on a Juggernaut, Bloodfeeder or a pair of Lightning Claws?

Bloodfeeder is fantastic - but you are doubling that chance of rolling a 1!

Claws: As the dude has attacks: 3(natural)+1(MOK)+1(TwinLC)+1(Jugger)+1(Charge)= 7 attacks! At S5 with re-rolls to wound - that'll take care of most things anyway. You are guaranteed the 7 attacks as opposed to the bloodfeeder which has a 16.5% chance on each D6 of rolling a 1 and not getting to attack anyway - taking a wound for the trouble. (Not sure what the math is on rolling 2 dice and getting a 1 on either.... Mathhammer anyone....)

Although the Bloodfeeder gets more attacks you also stand a chance of wiping out a unit in a single round of combat, which at times can be bad news: 'Raargh- see me, the mighty skull champion, slayer of armies! Oh - are those plasma guns. Ahem! I just happen to be standing in the open now don't I - gulp! They weren't friends of your were they.....'

I like claws....

It would be the sum of the individual permutations. That is, 1:6 + 1:6 = 2:6 = 1:3 = 33-ish %

I am starting to think that the Claws are indeed the way to go, as wea my original plan. Too bad, I had found a rather nice axe in my bits.

Bloodfeeder is a big risk. 11/36 = 31%

Go with the claws as the big weakness of Chaos Lords tends to be wounding stuff. It's why my favourite daemon weapon is the Nurgle one. Always 4+ to wound means you can kill big stuff much easier and the reroll to wound against T4 or lower can really make the difference.

How do you 11/36 for the odds of rolling a 1? Shouldn't the odds be 1/6 for each of two dice, so a total of 2/6 or 12/36?

by that logic though you would ensure rolling a 1 by throwing 6 dice....

There are only 11 possible combinations that include at least one 1 out of 36 possible combinations

It's in fact 12/36 -1/36 = 11/36 for the case where you roll two ones together because you have exclusive sources giving mutual results....

Dude with my dice I can guarantee ensuring you rolling a 1 when I roll any 2 dice together!
