7th edition just around the corner.

News and rumours

7th edition just around the corner.

Postby killmaimburn » Sun Jan 26, 2014 11:18 am

*Please don't post if you haven't played 6th ed/just came here to talk smack.*..if you're a poor boy with too much time coming to rant about prices..I'll just replace all your words with something else.

So several rumours are now floating about 7th ed being shoved way up the production line (and fantasy being pushed back).. BOLS did a nice run down of all the rumours up to a point and how weird they were.
http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2014/01/ ... k-and.html

But it seems legit-ish.. too long didn't read (for king) seems that 7th will be a thing that basically pushed all the faqs about look out sir, all the escalation and all that tat under one big fixed umbrella (those peeps saying "I'm not playing till 12th ed", shall wait on as this on the surface..coming out 2 years ahead of schedule appears to just be a tidying and fixing of the "too many books to play" problem)
40k radio last night issued a further rumour.. that this "new" edition could be coming out as soon as May

"Some updates on 7th edition: 1) It will purely be a book release. 2) It could be released as early as May.

On the Chaos Space Marine Releases. 1) Look for the stuff to be released beginning of summer. 2) Crimson Slaughter(CSM in the DV starter) might receive a Supplement as well."

Oh they also did a thingy about guard getting rebranded focusing on cadians and cathechans or something and looking at late march.

..I have all the component parts already so unless I hear otherwise..I shall just refer to it as 6.2 but figured you lot might have missed this giant epiphany thingy.
Barely even lurking..

I will be continually annoyed with w40k until they remove the random charge distance and give back the +1 initiative to FC.

Or they do some massive repair work on my beaten Blood Angels Codex. Once that criteria is met, then onwards for my campaign to rid James Swallow from writing BA for BL.....bastard!

However, I say I wouldn't want W40k 6.2, as I find it annoying I have to buy all the books, just to be interred into a cheaper book 9 months later. I would hope for some changes to the Game System rather just a copy and paste

Better not just be a copy and paste. If it is just an amalgamation of all the books then I want a large discount or the rulebook free.

Looking forward to imperial guard codex with sooooooo much anticipation. Any rumours about what's in and what is going to be dropped due to legal shiz

This site doesn't make any sense anymore :( .
But I am looking forward to the new boxset thingy, glad they stopped pretending it was an edition change though.

You mean Astra random non-sensical Latin sounding bollox? I keep thinking of Vauxhall Astras whenever I read the new name :!: but I can't wait for the new codex, just wish I had some money (who knew moving house would be expensive)

Guard forever!
Please excuse my chaotic spelling and grammar, I am Dyslexic, to my friends that means I am retarded and should always wear my water wings and helmet.

Smoke me a kipper i'll be back for breakfast
