There should be another full release soon - the pattern is to release the "a" version, fix bugs found in that, and that the "b" version comes out shortly afterwards. There are some big problems with the "a" release, but these mainly affect non-core lists (eg. Death Korp of Kreig, Elysians, etc went missing, but these are fixed in the release due shortly). I'll post as soon as the next release is out.

Hey Dan. I can't find this on the list of available updates in army builder. It lists the latest 40K update as back in April. Is it not yet part of the auto updates from wolflair?

I'e never gotten an update from anywhere else before, os the process any different? I usually use the update menu directly from AB to make sure the file ends up in the right directory etc.

The "a" release doesn't go into the AB update list, the "b" release will. It gives the maintainers a short public release where any serious problems that sneaked through beta testing can be corrected before it's pushed out on the automatic updates.

Using the file direct from the AB40k site is simple - you save the file to your hard disk (c:\armybuilderex\downloads works well), then start up AB and choose the Import button on the first dialog, browse to that file and import it. The Import process makes sure the file gets handled correctly, just the same as the automatic update step does.

If you want to wait, the "b" release should be in the automatic updates in the next few days.

Thanks, Dan.

I think I can wait a couple more days. Otherwise I'll just have to update it anyway. :)

BTW: thanks for the work the AB volunteers do. AB is really handy, and despite some overly harsh critics, the 40K files are a breeze to use.
