Cheers for the heads-up. :)

Q. When Epidemius’ tally reaches 20+ casualties
the rules say that ‘All attacks from followers of
Nurgle ignore armor saves’. Was this intended
to affect both ranged and close combat attacks
by the followers of Nurgle, as the text seems
to indicate?
A. Yes, that is indeed the case. Both ranged and
close combat attacks
.

I didnt see that coming - usually "attacks" means in combat, although it doesnt make a big difference since most ranged attacks made by followers of Nurgle already ignore Saves (so only affects Daemonic Gaze, I think).

Its a big deal if your playing against\allied with plague marines..suddenly the demon player is facing a lot of (has the support of) AP2 bolters
Also aura of decay?

Wow I hadnt even considered that! I wonder what the fluff justification for Save-ignoring Bolters is... (and whether GW even considered it themselves)

The corpse pus around the battle of nurgle vs nurgle makes everything that much more corrosive.
(actually the fluff for that is kind of in the blight drone entry..its never wrecked it always explodes with pus  )
Also as it was a late edit on last post..aura of decay? normally ap- goes up to ap2..thats pretty hardcore

Heh this gets better and better. Although usually, by the time I max my tally, I am just mopping up survivors anyway...

Sily one for you, since I appear to be the one to innovate and then be pilloried :P
"Followers of nurgle", not clarified, other than in the original specifiying allies or opponents and then certain benefits specifying certain groups/types of monsters.
Do Havoc/Chosen squads with the Icon of nurgle (whilst its alive) count as followers of nurgle?
you could create some very funny units who suddenly become terrifying..Crappy heavy bolter squad suddenly becomes 10 man termie killer etc, 5 flamer chosen kill 15 termies..etc.
(this one and the noxious touch (CC wound on 2+)one are for any followers..inc the nurglings)

Epi's page says "...followers of Nurgle (i.e. any Daemon of Nurgle, or model with the Mark of Nurgle...)". If they dont satisfy either of those criteria, they dont benefit from the Tally.

I don't have the chaos daemons 'dex, but wouldn't this mean that Epidemius himself (itself?) would have to have caused all 20+ casualties?
It couldn't be his unit or his army, correct?
And what would count as a casualty? Would a vehicle immobilised be a casualty?
Just curious.
