Witches don't float, and ducks do float, so if she weighs more than a duck, she's a witch!
I though everyone knew that! :D

You could build a bridge out of her?

Not a pontoon bridge!

Of course you could, just chop her in half and join the parts using a strand of creeper.

I hate to ruin everyone's bridge building plans, but I thought that Witches burn because they are made of wood; wood floats; ducks also float.

So, if she weighs the same as a duck, then she must float. So, the pontoon bridge should be OK.

kIf she were made of petrified wood she would sink like a rock!

If she were made of ebony, she would also sink, look here

But neither matters because witches burn because they are made of coal! Coal sinks, that's why witches sink.

Ah but can you not also build bridges out of stone?

Yes, but not pontoon bridges!

However, I have heard of concrete battleships and docks being built.

But they are all still heavier than ducks!

How about this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pykrete

Also doesn't it depend on your breed of witch? Some melt in water rather than float.

That's why we throw them in a lake!

If they melt, then they're a witch.

If they sink, they're probably a witch.

If they never float up to the surface, then we were right, they were a witch!

Interesting article about the pycrete though, might have kept out fleet from getting destroyed at Pearl Harbor! :)
They would have been somewhere much colder!
