Hmmm £127.00 for a very very nice model.

Hmmm time to start saving.

I'll get one, but I have two reservations:
a. the detailing under the tail could potentially be an utter beast to clean up
b. I find it too sleek, I prefer Chaos a lot more chunky

To be honest I think it looks like a giant Dark Eldar Talos.

I was thinking Talos myself. I am still unsure on the model. I think I like to conversions I have seen done more than the model by FW.

I like the fact that it is sleeker and less spikey bits, which is a part of Chaos that annoys me on models. Rather like too many purity seals on Space Marines does.

Meh. I agree with jlong05. I like the Defiler based conversions I have seen more than the Forgeworld model. First thing I thought when I saw the pictures of the painted model was "Vorlon". It is too sleek, especially considering the propensity toward sharp implements and pointy bits that most Khornate models have.

Ok, anyone know how (or where a tutorial to) copy the paint effects on the Brass Scorpion are, I am rather taken by the red effect.

Looks airbrushed to me - either painted red then, black airbrushed on, or vice versa. Careful airbrush application can give that nicely blended effect. Then a couple of coats of gloss varnish for the shiny 'wet' effect.

I would guess that it is the red first as that would allow one to more easily airbrush the black to create the pattern.
