Mine doesn't say that, mine says Sh2t.. but Vin Diesel's love ring makes it look like an I. :D
Want to rant about it.. but think it won't stop once it really starts..
naturally I shall be using them for my iron hands, my chaos and my ad mech. And probably use smurfs codex as my blood angels.

I'm using the BA codex for my Tau & IG (don't worry, I have fluff that makes it ok).

Deepstriking Land Raider Crusaders FTW!!!!!!!!!!!! But don't worry, all the horrific special rules are balanced, as you have to grow a Gandalf style beard in order to play them, so that people know in advance & can mock you for being a noob!

Don't know if you've seen this yet, but it appears that one of the balances on Meph is he isn't an IC.... haven't had a chance to confirm that yet.

Neither is Sanguinor or DC Tycho its obviously a typo, these books clearly dont get proof read for fear of a leak, despite that my local GW store let me read it cover to cover and with my photoshop memory to boot! Except a FAQ on release day, almost as bad as football manager these days.

DC Tycho won't be a mistake, his place is leading the DC.

But without IC status he can't

No jump pack option & can't ride with them in a Land Raider! Pointless!

Have we confirmed that there's no other mechanism by which he joins the DC?

The IC rule is missing on both the page for Tycho, and in the army list, for his DC version. Maybe it represents his complete fall to the Black Rage, to the point where he cannot even remain in coherency with other members of the DC and goes off where the rage takes him. Would fit the fluff at least.

The Sanguinor also, from the background info, would appear to be a loner, so again not being an IC fits there.

Mephiston does look odd though, although as Baragash suggests it could be a balance issue - at least he won't be using other squads as meatshields.

I though DC Tycho provides buffs to the DC?

I thought the balancer was that he didn't have an iron halo, or access to the psychic power that conveyed a save.
Meaning it only takes 5 plasma wounds (or 5 lascannons etc) straight to the face and he'll melt off the table.
If he was allowed to hide in a squad I'd take a blood taloned dreadnought in.. put all the attacks on the squad (killing all of them.. giving me 5 more attacks on him rince repeat.. horrible horrible things)
Breath in.....(sucks air out the forum)
My take (influcenced by the web and having sat down on the floor in GW reading it cover to cover)

The silly-
Flying dreadnought AV13 with str 8 ap1 lance, force weapon and hood 175 points.
Or
AV 13 dreadnought who as long as he keeps on killing gets infinity attacks and has a vehicle lash of submission (that can't be stopped by a hood)-140

Zero price increase for saying that landraider get chucked out of thunderhawks and scatter and always have.)

And the one that everyone is talking about.. (I first read about it on the jawaballs bit but its probably sprung up a thousand places).
5 assualt marines take off their jump packs to get a whopping discount (making them cheaper than scouts if you were going to take a locator beacon pod/razorback or landraider anyway) buy a melta gun and jump into it (probably getting the free upgrade to twin linked heavy flamer..and remember its fast it can move 12 disembark the squad (extra 2" they melta a tank) and then the rerolling to wound flamer opens up..(and they score)
130 points.(thats total.. I didn't miss adding anything on)

Assualt squads in themselves are relatively cheap (I was expecting a "they are scoring" tax bounce.. but no.. So
10 man fist = 215
You know all the silly chapter approved stuff james never let me play.. and the bits they massacred out of chaos.. I really do find 90% here..deepstriking invisible ghostly landraiders, AV 13 dreadnoughts who get (in effect) to double their attacks..
MY OLD BA LIST was
lemartes leading death company
Corbelo- leading a command squad
1 command squad in a rhino with medic and 2 melta
1 command squad in a rhino with medic and 2 melta (and corbelo)
Death company (6ish gave cover saves to \/)
30 assualt marines
I think I might have squidged in 2 whirlwinds..
It wasn't a great list but it did ok at the time (util I started flirting with shrike wing)

SO MY NEW LIST-1st scribble on back of hand, in the order I scribbled it so take a breath before trying to read)

Elites
3 sanguinary priests (think wolf guard count as 1 choice) with combi metlta who sit with each of the razorback squads (making my whole army have feel no pain and furious charge-meh red thirst is not required)=180 (also keeps the whole 2 melta per vehicle)

Troops
3 of the stripped down assualt squads in tank skimmers=390
30 assualt marines with 3 fists=645

Undecided about the HQs but I guess 2 reclusiarchs will do for now (they're stats are back up to 5s of the 4th ed) and keep the whole rerolling to hit and conveying fearless thing..
Oh hang on they bounced up the cost of the jump pack (when they said in smurfs the reason it was cheap was due to it being a natural form of transport for a chaplin.. Ho hum.. take 1 HQ chaplin and 1 Elite with jump packs

Puts me at 1495-
Comparison
lost the ignore 3 failed saves a turn-whole army has feel no pain)
1 melta gun has become 3 combi meltas
3 more scoring units.
Lost the rather rubish fire support- gained 3 vehicles that can move 18 and dump double melta. (26" double dice range). And gained 3 rerollin to wound heavy flamers (which I think are better than whirlwinds)

Ok so its a bit crap nowadays as a list nowadays.. but it can play straight off the shelf...
I might make a more stupid one as time goes on.

Edit- in fact on the whole IC thing, the priests are ICs. So I could rhino rush and kill 6 tanks..(but expose my FC FNP guys to easy fire)..that might be nice..
Future ideas.. Get 2 melta into 5 of the 10 man assualt squad- 5 fly forward (behind razorbacks) 5 DS with 2 melta- that would be nice if I could find the points. (maybe drop a priest and equip all of them like that)

lol @ the flying dreadnought... I missed that one... I was too busy looking at the flying libby who is S10 in assault to kill tanks.

There are so many great builds in this codex Im not sure why anyone would play Vanilla again. Maybe they want to use their land speeder storm ;)

Surely the chapter SM dexes should have the same as the SM dex, and where they gain stuff they loose others, as in the traits section in the past.

This dex seems to have given a chapter everything the SM dex has and then put lots of cream on top of that too. Too much codex creep here... I can see every SM army getting a respray. Not me tho, I'm play DA as BA :o

Nope, he doesn't do anything to the DC at all.
