FW #201 - Minotaur, Mole Launcher, Hades Drill

Postby Spack » Tue Sep 09, 2008 11:42 am

The latest Forge World newsletter just arrived, and the Imperial Guard have some more love :)

First up is the Imperial Minotaur, a mobile super heavy artillery piece. Packing two Earthshaker cannons on a modified Malcador chassis, this is fulfills all the needs of the IG - BIG GUNS!

Also available to pre-order is the Death Korps of Krieg Mole Launcher, giving the DKoK the ability to fire burrowing warheads through rock and earth. This is the modern version of the RT era Squat Mole Mortar.

And finally, the Hades Breaching Drill gives the DKoK a way to undermine defences and deliver elite troops into the thick of the enemy.

I liked the drill, wish it had a driver compartment as I would put a squat in charge of it.

I don't like the Minotaur though, its not just the reversed chassis, its the very Victorian Steampunk like sides of the vehicle I think.

I agree that the Minotaur isn't the most attractive tank in the world but it does scream coolness. Who wouldn't want a super heavy artillery piece, really makes me want to carry on and invest in doing a fully equipped renegade siege army that i started a while back. And then play some awesome apocalypse games against some loyal guard.
