Sorry, just got in from work and cba to edit out the bits relating to where I originally typed this..... :( :P

Baragash wrote:W00t! Xmas arrived early :)

Apoc Index: Yes, like the first one, there is an updated list in the back of the location of all GW-published units and formations for Apoc, and what source (yes, Necrosius appears in both the CSM and Renegade lists, as do Arkos and Zhufor) except the units and formations only released online (eg Doomsday Device, Angron, BA flying Land Raiders etc). Win index is win.

General Apoc ramble: there's a dozen pages offering suggestions on "balancing" Apoc games, various small and large mods and scenario tweaks, and a little bit on Planetstrike. Nothing ground-breaking, but a nice touch (lulz at the one that makes everything rend, based on some Emperor's Children fluff). There's also a quick tips section for Apoc after the intro.

Just going to take a ramble through the units. I realise some of the things I mention may just be me being  :new_sleeping and not spotting them before in some cases, but meh, I'm excited :P :)

Note, that the intro says these are also updates, so if they conflict with older rules, these win.

IG Some Baneblade variants (Tremor cannon, Magma cannon, Quake cannon).
IG Hades Breaching Drill also includes rules so it can be played in an IG list.
SM Iron Cyclone formation -> 3-5 DSing Dreads that can assault as they land (if you take the Lucius pod) 8O
SoB Convocation of Wrath is basically a butt-load of Stubborn, +1S Flamers/Heavy Flamers
Eldar Death Web is a Night Spinner formation that has a side effect of causing Dangerous Terrain in the next turn
Tau Hazard Suit (for convo above)
  • 1 - Burst Cannon
  • 2 - Phased Ion Gun R18 S4 AP4 Ass4, Rending
  • 3 - Fusion Cascade R12 S6 AP1 AssD3, Melta
  • 4 - Pulse Submunitions Rifle R24 S5 AP6 Ass1, 5" blast, No Cover
DoC Tzeenth Lord..... almost as tough as Scabs, tougher than Ang
  • 5" blast Bolt
  • Flamer template Boon
  • 4 powers I think (2 for being a GC, 2 for his MoS), with BS6
  • Reflects powers and Gifts back on a 4+
  • Create D6+3 Horrors per turn within 48", don't give VPs/KPs
  • Instead of powers can take an Ld test for 6+D3 Apoc Barrage, AP3, wounds/penetrates on a 4+, No Cover
  • Has to shoot other DPs/DLs/GDs if within 18" of them
Blood Slaughterer Impaler now hits on a 4+ :)
Mamon's Formation can attempt to destroy one Objective per game
Uraka's attacks inflict ID instead of Rending now :)
Uraka's Formation can score an additional Objective by nominating and killing a specific IC/character MC
Chaos Reaver Titan can now be Possessed :)
Plague Hulk I like, ok it's S&P, but it's lower BS doesn't really affect it's weapons (Blast/Template) and it overcomes the major Walker weakness of no grenades by having both and 5+ Cover.
Plague Ogryns now S&P :(
Plague Ogryn Formation can add Spawn to their unit on a 5+ for each kill they cause if the Master PO is alive
