More impressed by the Valkyrie transporter (like a T-hawk transporter, but smaller).

While the 6-wheeler harkens to me of the LRPT LandRovers our SAS have used, it's a little pricey for me (and no doubt the quality will be as sub-par as the rest of the FW releases). I'll take an Old Crow Goanna scout with turret over it any day (Jez does some fine work on those machines).

Admittedly, not anywhere as detailed as FW, but the more you overcomplicate something, the more chances you have of it going wrong. The castings have all been clean and flush fits.

I have been thinking about some old crow vehicles.
How do they rank up scale-wise vs chimera's, etc?

Cheers matt, I have seen the models (like them too), but I'm concerned about the scale vs gw.

I would have preffered something more functional like the Jackal 2

Jackal 2

This Venator thing looks like it would break too easily especially in the hands of paratroopers!

I still like it though - and the Guard always struck me as being WW2/Cold War in terms of 'feel' - except for the DKOK which Screams Verdun!

The length is given as 4" (10cm or so), but it's around 2" wide and an inch and a half (maybe a bit more) high. No grossly out of scale with infantry (cadian). Wheels are about the same size as GW bike wheels.

I use three of the gecko scouts as 'counts as' scout Sentinels (they are on 3x2" bases, and not GW minis, so the GW model basing restrictions do not apply. This base is larger (in area - slightly) than a sentinel base, but the roof mounted weapons are at approx the same height as a sentinel's weapons.
