FW UK Openday

Postby Antubis » Sun Apr 05, 2009 5:51 pm

Warseer has some ace pics from the FW UK Openday see pg5 here

Oh, it turns out the head in the news letter is a Khorne Deamon Engine.

The demon engine`s called a slaughterer,
And very hacky slashey it look`s too.
Me want` s one me does!!!

Also saw this and want to know wot they are carrying,
It`s either a anti tank rifle or a heavy stubber,
Im not sure but it`s tasty.

Just wish i could have gone,
But as it turned out from wot ive read on warseer the sold all the slaughterer`s to the first two guy`s in the que and 12 death rider commisar`s to one bloke.

So kind of glad i didn`t

anybody else take any pic`s of stuff?
Cheer`s
Jim

Rip-Off Merchant.
Problem is, there's bound to be some stupid mug out there, who will buy those at that price.

As well as 3 other items. Looks like his 2AM ride was more in the way of a "business trip" than anything else. I like the way he cut and pasted all his offerings.
We have people here in the US who do similar things with tickets to concerts and sporting events. We call them "scalpers" and it is illegal here. Guess this guys offerings just fall under the banner of "caveat emptor"

I hope someone who went sends this to FW (not that I hold out too much hope of it making a difference)

I'll "see" what FW's stance on this might be.. I notice that there's been bids on one of the items already.

People will do it, I dont doubt that.

(just like how people pre-order big boxed sets from GW to try and get them early/on the release day, paying full price, when if they wait they could get 20-25% off buying them from places like GF)

I was at the open day and was wanting to buy some of the Nurgle drones but they had sold out. Now I'm finding out people who went were buying them to sell on and i find myself a little bit hacked off.

As a hobbyist i find it out right offensive that people are allowed to do this for profit. I have no issue if people were buying multiples for themselves, but people who went to the event should be the 1st to get the item on the day even if restricted to only one on the day and you have to order any other you require (ordering for mates and things like that).

This is something FW should probably look into and hopefully wont be repeated.
