MkIV Space Marine Assault Squad

It is common for a battle-brother of the Adeptus Astartes to be assigned to an Assault squad after completing exemplary service among his Devastator brethren; for after he has learned to hold his ground before the foe, he must be tempered in the crucible of brutal, hand-to-hand combat.

The MkIV Space Marine Assault Squad contains five multi-part resin Space Marines clad in MkIV ‘Maximus’ pattern power armour, and was designed by Will Hayes. Containing the most advanced systems and offering exemplary protection, the assault variant of MkIV armour features an unusual jump pack design that uses a single thruster combined with smaller manoeuvring jets. This kit also contains bolt pistols, chainswords and a variety of grenades and pouches, and is available to pre-order for despatch from Friday May 25th.

Space Marine Terminator Weapons Set

Those warriors of the Adeptus Astartes entrusted with a suit of Terminator Armour are often heroes beyond compare. Paragons of the Chapter, Captains and Librarians bear the most hallowed relic-weapons into combat, while others will take up sacred combi-weapons; the blessed potency of the holy bolter embellished with an additional firearm such as a plasma gun or flamer.

The Terminator Weapons Set, designed by Will Hayes, comprises two Tigrus pattern combi-bolters, a thunder hammer, a storm shield, a power axe, a power maul and a pair of lightning claw attachments, as well as a right-handed power fist to enable the pair of weapons to be built. The kit also contains three differently posed left arms and four different optional combi-weapons: two flamers, two plasma guns, two auxiliary grenade launchers and two melta guns.
This fantastic upgrade kit can be used in conjunction with our recently released Tartaros Pattern Terminators to produce Space Marine characters clad in this type of Tactical Dreadnought armour.
With some conversion work these weapons can also be used to convert Chaos Terminators and both Imperial and Chaos power armour-clad characters from our wide range of variant Space Marine infantry and the plastic Terminator kits available from Games Workshop. The set is available to pre-order now for despatch from Friday May 25th.

Tigrus Pattern Bolter Set

There are many types and patterns of the mighty and iconic boltgun used by the Adeptus Astartes, and the Tigrus Pattern Bolter is one such variant. First discovered in the depths of Forge World Tigrus, the STC data for this sleek weapon was quickly disseminated throughout the Imperium before the outbreak of the shadowed Horus Heresy. This noble bastion of Mars suffered irreparable damage at the hands of the Traitor Legions, yet the bolters that bear its name continue to see service in the 41st Millennium; revered and honoured as ancient relics of Mankind’s lost glory.

Designed by Will Hayes, the Tigrus Pattern Bolter Set contains ten bolters, ten holstered pistols and an assortment of additional pouches and grenades that are fully compatible with our entire range of Space Marine infantry and the plastic sets produced by Games Workshop. This detailed accessory set is available to pre-order now for despatch from Friday May 25th.

ok, im liking the assault squad, but they cheated, bloody sanguinary guard jump pack minus the wings!

terminator weapons? damn... just, damn, that is all

hell no it isnt, ive sworn off forge world and they wave this lot under my nose? if it wasnt for the fact the displays they had not too long ago showed severe mold lines and misalignment (info supplied by anvil from a convention) i'd be all over the upgrades and the terminators themselves!

its just not fair i tell you!

Have to agree with Talos about the assault jump packs. That is a cheep cheat on FW part. But I do really like the MK4's in this set. I think they look really cool. Better even than FW's previous MK4's.

I also really like the new Termy weapons, especially the combi weapons. I may have make these my standard combi design weaps from now on. The new Termy assault weaps are quite nice too, but can't imagin I'd be buyin several sets just equip a squad of them.

I am getting a bit worried about their quality standards tho. Just bought a red scorpions upgrade pack, wherein the bodies were highly badly cast with too thin resin waistbands on the bodies and mis-formed shoulder pads. Also I bought a Decimator. Not too much to fault there, apart one slightly mis cast shoulder piece, but the 2 claws I bought for it are made of 'shine-me-on cast' rather than the normal resin. They're warped to hell, and even if i straighten them with hot water as normal, they're still covered in flash and made of a resing that is reminiscent of rubber! I'll spend hours painting it only to find that the first time it's handled the thinner parts will have the paint crack and chip off because of lack of rigidity in the resin underneath.

As a counterpoint to FW resin, I purchased a couple of the scibor miniatures recently in Maelstroms sale. Excellent quality resin, no mould faults, bubbles or miscast parts and no parts needed straightening. Come ON Forgeworld! You are beginning to lose ground!
